I liked the turnout, but I feel like the atmosphere could've been even better. Obviously the students were less due to winter break, but that is the point. It is always the students bringing the energy (including football games). It doesn't even have to be screaming. Just the standard "Defense" chants or rhythmic clapping would be nice from some of the other fans. We should be trying to pick them up any small reason we get, instead of the other way around and wait for a 10-0 run or something like that. I guess we'll get there eventually, especially when school is back in session.
It makes you wonder whether it could have the opposite effect. A team that finally has a decent turnout for once and now you have the pressure to make your fans happy, but instead of constant encouragement, you get more often the reactionary, "awww" when shots are missed.
