There is not the outrage on this board that there was in years gone by. Basically, nobody cares anymore, unless the conversation has moved somewhere else. Reading some of the posts this afternoon, I realize that LOSING has become acceptable. There is always a good excuse. We're injured. Everybody freezes the kicker. Hindsight is 20/20. The QB made a good play. Not enough NIL money. We don't have the players. Today we gave away a ball game and embarrassed the program. It SUCKS. This was a big game. Top 25. The players knew it. The left their bodies out on that field. Shouldn't a coach with almost 23 years of experience consider the conditions and realize that icing the kicker is the worst decision in these circumstances. Should the same coach think to call a TO and make sure that the only player on the field that can beat us is covered like a blanket? Losing MATTERS. This loss MATTERS. There is a reason that 50 yard line seats sell on stubhub for $35 for a game against a top 25 team. Most football fans EXPECT us to lose, and they can watch that on TV and avoid that timeouts too. For GS to say that he's a goat if the decision goes wrong and a hero otherwise shows that no reasoning went into it. He needs to be better...or maybe there will be no one who even cares enough to criticize him some day. Sure, don't post to fire GS...but don't say everything was fine either. He lost this game.
