Maryland at Penn State

I'm curious how many of the fans that are really worried about Penn State based on them beating Maryland actually watched the game. Maryland played like garbage. Sure, PSU deserves credit for playing hard, but the Terps didn't compete for most of the game. The commentators noted that Penn State was getting 90% of the 50/50 balls last night. One team was ready to play, the other was not.

Yes, we need to be ready to play next week. I don't see that being a concern on Senior Night in front of a sellout crowd. We will be energized and let's see what happens.

Its not just the Maryland game, which I watched some of, they have been playing much better the entire second half of the B1G schedule. Remember, they were 0-fer the first half, now have 5 wins in conference with a few more to play. Give them credit, they are a much improved team and it will not be easy. None of our remaining 3 games are easy. Our 2 away games are both senior night, as is our home game, looking forward to see how we play.

But no matter the results, which I hope we win all three, Pike and the team were much improved this season.

No, not hating on Turgeon and he is certainly not getting fired after this season. I was just pointing out the mindset of the Maryland fan base. My "alerts" are the Maryland fans I know who were blowing up my phone last night while I was trying to cover a game in Tampa. By the third call in a 5 minute stretch, I was able to put 2+2 together that Maryland was losing to somebody by a lot.

A 5-2 record with a win over Michigan and Maryland make you the 7th best team in the **country** this month?

Bac always talks about this team making another step towards its eventual goal. Well next week we have another goal-keeping a team in our rear view mirror despite how hot they are.

RU is 5-3 against the other 6 schools in the 2nd half of the Big 10 standings with two games left...two challenges remaining, one at home and one on the road. You have to do well against the schools in your vicinity before you think about ascending up the ladder. I think win or lose RU has done a solid job so far but if they win both of these games, I think they really are making a statement about where they are as a program.
