Looking at the recruiting rankings, it seems like the state of Maryland has a once in a generation graduating HS class, with 8 football players ranked 4 stars and 18 ranked 3 stars. I wonder how many will stay home to rep MD. Only 3 have committed to UMD so far.

Their recruiting class is ranked ahead of Penn State. If their coach can coach, they should do well considering they should have a offensive line full of 4 stars base on the last few years.

The real interesting thing over the next few years is who, out of the new coaches, can coach. Maryland is obviously starting strong in recruiting this year but, the play on the field may dictate who stays and who looks elsewhere, but they are proving to be good recruiters. Rutgers, Ash is showing to be a good recruiter as well but again, can he show it on the field? If both schools do show promise, the NJ class of 18 may be even stronger then the class of 16.
Think about where that places B1G East in CFB. OSU, Mich, PSU, Maryland and Rutgers. I'm talking about 2020, if these guys can prove they can coach plus recruit. Holy crap- going to be tough but fun when that big money is rolling in

And why do people confuse then and than? Hope you didn't go to Rutgers.[/QUOTE

I debated for many moments about which to use. I apologize for not going to Rutgers. 30 years later, it would have helped me figure this out. Oh, wait, sometimes typing on an iPhone on a message board, I forget to double check my work.
