The Terps have now lost 3 straight, including the last 2 at home to unranked opponents. I didn't see that coming. However, they are the best road team in the Big10. So, it will take an incredible effort for RU to pull of the upset Tues. night. I don't see the Terps losing 4 in a row, but I can still dream, can't I?

The tailspin continues. Turgeon has lost this team and I wouldn't be surprised if we (MD) don't win another game all year. Plus, you guys are due to pull through seeing how close you've been playing teams.

Young team and guys hit the wall-----------also Maryland benefited from an easy schedule early.

Agree that the Terps are ripe to get beat by RU.

Don't agree on Turgeon losing them------guy is an excellent coach.

I was never a fan of the thought process that a team is due for a win, so they will win....or they are really angry now, and then they win the next game

this goes for both basketball and football

I was not aware that Maryland lost the last set of games played....to me, this is nothing but
good news....either they are off their game due to injury, or just not playing well as a team

either way, glad to hear it.

Maryland played a terrible game against Iowa but still scored 69 points. In contrast Rutgers has great difficulty scoring 65 points.Trimble is the go to scorer for Maryland and he had a poor shooting night against Iowa.Nobody knows game to game which Rutgers players will be double digit scorers and that is a big problem for a team lacking shooters.

Friend texted me from last night's game that Rutgers need to play a zone defense against the Terps.

Also noteworthy that Michigan beat Purdue by 12. We nearly knocked off the hottest team in the B1G

Yep we are absolutely clueless against a zone. Our freshmen have gone ice cold the last few weeks and we aren't hitting a ton of shots, and it kind of just spirals from there. We've given up 172 points in the last two games, which tells you all you need to know about our defensive efforts.

I see it the same way. I don't think Turgeon has lost his team. The factors you note for their slide are accurate.

I have wondered all season why opponents don't play zone against Rutgers with their poor 3 point shooters. It would clog up the middle and make drives to the basket by Sanders more difficult and neutralize offensive rebounding.

Maryland will be fine..the MD fan is off the deep end saying they will not win again
Maryland will not be fine and they are in a serious slide. Melo bailed them out at the end of games early and their freshman played really well early in the conference schedule but have hit a wall. They have lost at home by more than 10 to Minnesota and Iowa not at the wire . That is a huge warning sign. Their defense has gotten worse as the year has gone on. If we hit our foul shots away , our earlier game goes to the wire. We have an excellent shot being off for 6 days , which this Coach and staff has shown they will be very prepared, and as long as we can limit their 3's , the game will be there for our taking. It comes down to can we close. We are 2-6 in games we had to close but lacked a closer (Mariano Rivera) !

I'm not so sure about that. Could they bounce back and win at Rutgers? Absolutely, but there are serious concerns about them right now.

I personally think that they make the tournament but I'm not sure they'll get out of the first weekend.

Saying they will not again is over the top...schools go through ups and downs...and we have seen similar things said about most schools in league and they bounce back. I do not think there was an illusion that Maryland was a national title contender or a ceiling past the Sweet 16. In a rough patch for sure but what school in this league hasnt hit rough patches..how many games has RU lost in a row?

It's been awhile since our last round of up ... We're due!!!!!!
