Going to baylor. Interesting. Temple program is goona drop. They better hire the right guy.
Psst. He's a Syracuse fan. Why he is here, don't ask me?we should be more concerned with ourselves than wishing ill on others.
Flood to Temple.Wonder if this means Al Golden back to Temple?
He will be reunited with a lot of recruits who chose Temple over RU!Flood to Temple.
He is going to be in for a challenge there. They have 1 commit so far. Now we learn if he is the coach the Temple fans have made him out to be.great move for him
If Walker had eligibility left Flood could move him to safety to prove he was right all along. He will be reunited with a lot of recruits who chose Temple over RU!
Al Golden with Flood as OL coach?
In soft zone coverage, of course! If Walker had eligibility left Flood could move him to safety to prove he was right all along.
PJ Fleck to Temple would really suck.
Not sure about the money but I cannot see GS going down to a group of 5 job. He could have had one last year and declined it.can Temple afford Cristobal or Schiano?
AAC>MAC.not really an upgrade
Good points. I think Houston is the best AAC job. Money from alums and great area to recruit.AAC>MAC.
Read this article last night about Cincinnati being the best job for PJ Fleck. Same logic applies. It is a better springboard to a bigger job.

Dantonio went from MAC to Cincy to MSU; Kelly from lower level job to Cincy to ND; Jones to Tennessee.
Al Golden to Miami. Now Matt Rhule to Baylor.
He should consider it.

Al Golden with Flood as OL coach?
Russo would have to transfer of course.Co offensive coordinators! They could setup a real sweet Ciarocca inspired spread offense. Of course the really sad thing is that it would put up better numbers than ours did last year.:flushed:
AAC>MAC.

LMFAO..post of 2016! so true..If Walker had eligibility left Flood could move him to safety to prove he was right all along.
Flood getting this job could prove entertaining.LMFAO..post of 2016! so true..

Although he did manage to get out coached by Kyle Flood twice. Not an easy feat.Kind of disappointed that's the job he's taking. I'm sure he'll get a ton of money, but he deserves a job like Tennessee. Good luck to him - very good coach.
That's a good point, and don't think the SN looked at it that way--and they should have. Their oversimplified point, however, is Cincy is a great trade-up/stepping stone type of job. Perhaps Temple is too, as it served Al Golden (for a short while) and now Matt Rhule well. But Fleck can be picky--we saw Hazell go from Akron to Purdue and Babers from Bowling Green to Syracuse--so he can probably make the P5 jump. The BE was still a BCS conference when Dantonio went there and wasn't Temple in the MAC when Golden started?
Once - 2013 - his first year. We're talking about Rhule here, right?Although he did manage to get out coached by Kyle Flood twice. Not an easy feat.
If Temple can maintain its football momentum (and they are no slouch at basketball), then Temple>>UConn if the ACC were looking to add more TVs, and please don't say UConn brings the NYC market--but Temple brings the Philly market.Cincinnati & Houston are jobs that also have an added 'wildcard' in that they may be queued up for ascension to a better conference - Houston was very close - and then the possibility faded - but it is still felt by many that there will be some shuffling in the not too distant future and Cincinnati & Houston (and a few others) are on the list of 'usual suspects' to come out as winners in the changes when & if they happen.
Temple....? hard to see it ... I'd bet on UCONN escaping their purgatory before I could see Temple finding a pretty new home.
Temple has been more successful hiring lately than we have. The Tie, Dazzler, Rhulester. Each one arguably built on the foundations of his predecessor. They didn't have to pay out contracts with three successive hires. Stepping stone, sure, but that's huge. We got lucky with one hire in modern 1A history. And forked out tons of money for firing coaches. Sorry, Frank doesn't count.Going to baylor. Interesting. Temple program is goona drop. They better hire the right guy.
And to think Flood is still out there.
