I agree. Interesting choice. USC will always have an advantage in the PAC and UW has surged, but is that a tougher duo than Texas and Oklahoma? Not sure I would have picked Baylor, and all of its' problems, over Oregon.
I'm not sure suggesting Temple has a challenge in replacing Rhule and continuing their recent success is exactly rooting against them.we should be more concerned with ourselves than wishing ill on others.
Wait a minute. Didn't the Owl fans steadfastly say Rhule would NEVER leave Philly? His wife loved it there? @Owlfan_in_North Jersey ????

absolutely I would choose Oregon over Baylor. Not even a second to think
Oregon doesn't have a built-in recruiting base, whereas Texas is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to HS players. At Oregon, Rhule better find a way to tap into California and that's not so easy if you don't have the right contacts. In California, highschoolers think of the AAC as a fledgling conference and what's a Temple.absolutely I would choose Oregon over Baylor. Not even a second to think
probably has a longer leash. the coach fired at Oregon didn't do horrible, but obviously losing season are not allowed in Oregon. Baylor probably give him 3 years no pressure and the keys to the palace if he fixes thingsNot sure I would have picked Baylor, and all of its' problems, over Oregon.
I think it's an easier path to conference titles and the Top 10 at Baylor than at Oregon. Weaker league.
Our former coach would disagree. Not with 1 recruit.
With PJ Walker graduating it was time to go.
He is going to be in for a challenge there. They have 1 commit so far. Now we learn if he is the coach the Temple fans have made him out to be.
Yes, the Temple job is not a P5 job. Now we see how he does in the big leagues. Same goes for Herman in fairness. You really need Temple fans to explain how good of a job Ruhle did there? Seriously?
Plus, Baylor is not even a fair test. I wouldn't go within a mile of that place.
Cheap housing. You really need Temple fans to explain how good of a job Ruhle did there? Seriously?

Chip and Joanna are excited.Cheap housing.

I don't think you can discount what happened at PSU. If Franklin hadn't turned it around, Rhule may have been one of the AD's first calls. Now that Franklin is set it makes no sense to stay at Temple.
It's Waco, sir. Besides Baylor, the only thing Waco is known for is:That hurts.
But now Mrs. Rhule can furnish her home at Magnolia. Maybe even get on an episode. It's Waco, sir. Besides Baylor, the only thing Waco is known for is:

Seriously, I would stay in Philly.
Money is a good reason, especially if Rhule felt the Oregon job would be going to the Boise HC.With all of Baylor's problems(who knows what ends up coming down on them) why in the world would any coach take a job there over Oregon?
Baylor may be left out when UT/OKLA/UK leave the B12...very shaky conference since the ACC signed the long-term GOR...
In shock!!!BWAHAHAHAHA!!!! Where is that one big-mouthed DOUCHE BAG from Temple who has been beating us down with the "I know Rhule...he's never leaving Temple...we've discussed it many times" CRAP??!!!

I think he's gone within three years to a much lesser school. The match seems so weird.btw - this is a very ODD move IMHO
TU's coaching change is having reverberations all the way to NZ...LOL..I think he's gone within three years to a much lesser school. The match seems so weird.
He will recruit mostly in TX and surrounding States and cherry pick players from NJ and PA. We have seen this act before. This is a real head scratcher. Rhule leaving makes perfect sense as he loses Walker who is a large part of his success. Now is the time to make the move. But to Baylor? Yes, there is a ton of talent, but there is also a ton of competition. Don't see him doing it there, and Waco? When you could be in Eugene, OR? Looks like a bad decision both ways.
