Not sure I would have picked Baylor, and all of its' problems, over Oregon.
I agree. Interesting choice. USC will always have an advantage in the PAC and UW has surged, but is that a tougher duo than Texas and Oklahoma?

we should be more concerned with ourselves than wishing ill on others.
I'm not sure suggesting Temple has a challenge in replacing Rhule and continuing their recent success is exactly rooting against them.

Temple is never going to the Power 5 so there is no need for them to overspend on a HC again. But their AD is pretty good at hiring Football coaches, so they should be fine.

The Baylor AD, Mack Rhoades, was a finalist for the AD job here in 2009, losing out to Pernetti. He went on to become AD at Houston, then Missouri and now Baylor. Pernetti went on to hire Mike Rice and Kyle Flood.

absolutely I would choose Oregon over Baylor. Not even a second to think
Oregon doesn't have a built-in recruiting base, whereas Texas is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to HS players. At Oregon, Rhule better find a way to tap into California and that's not so easy if you don't have the right contacts. In California, highschoolers think of the AAC as a fledgling conference and what's a Temple.

probably has a longer leash. the coach fired at Oregon didn't do horrible, but obviously losing season are not allowed in Oregon. Baylor probably give him 3 years no pressure and the keys to the palace if he fixes things

I think it's an easier path to conference titles and the Top 10 at Baylor than at Oregon. Weaker league.

He is going to be in for a challenge there. They have 1 commit so far. Now we learn if he is the coach the Temple fans have made him out to be.

You really need Temple fans to explain how good of a job Ruhle did there? Seriously?
Plus, Baylor is not even a fair test. I wouldn't go within a mile of that place.

Yes, the Temple job is not a P5 job. Now we see how he does in the big leagues. Same goes for Herman in fairness.

With all of Baylor's problems(who knows what ends up coming down on them) why in the world would any coach take a job there over Oregon?

Flood will be an offensive line coach for one of these guys. Maybe Temple under whoever the new coach is. He can work for Fleck.

Money is a good reason, especially if Rhule felt the Oregon job would be going to the Boise HC.
Also with the type of boosters that school has, Baylor will be having heavy political influence and funding for putting pressure on the NCAA to be lenient while claiming those involved aren't part of Baylor anymore

This is a real head scratcher. Rhule leaving makes perfect sense as he loses Walker who is a large part of his success. Now is the time to make the move. But to Baylor? Yes, there is a ton of talent, but there is also a ton of competition. Don't see him doing it there, and Waco? When you could be in Eugene, OR? Looks like a bad decision both ways.

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!! Where is that one big-mouthed DOUCHE BAG from Temple who has been beating us down with the "I know Rhule...he's never leaving Temple...we've discussed it many times" CRAP??!!!

He will recruit mostly in TX and surrounding States and cherry pick players from NJ and PA. We have seen this act before.
