They seem to be doing just fine. They have the real x factor in college lacrosse. Kirst is the biggest difference maker there is in the game. The last 4 minutes of the 4th qtr. of the Penn St. game is "killing" Cornell.

Hopkins needs to end their contract with ESPNU and be on BTN for home games. I feel like they're sleeping with the enemy to a degree by having their game called by ACC homers.USA Lacrosse sure loves Hopkins. After losing on their home field to us the go from number 11... to number 11.

Even more damning.IIRC Saturday was on ESPN+
Need one of these West Coast schools to start men's lax. I'm looking at you in particular, USC. You literally have no excuse for not having it.ESPN programs their acc tilts on ESPNU and where they can, their B1G games on ESPN+
Hopefully that contract is ending for them. I've always said Hopkins lacrosse is in a bit of a precarious position. They don't get any football/basketball money, along with all that comes with that (best practices, nutrition, training techniques, etc.), and they are competing against programs that do. They have some natural advantages but lacrosse has significantly changed in the last 30 years. I am sure their fans are still clamoring for the days of old but they are never going to return. Not saying they can't compete but that is the best they will do.
Still, there isn't much better in lacrosse than winning on Homewood field and sticking it to them. Good thing I wasn't at that game. Their fans would have hated me.
Upgrade USC's club field hockey team to NCAA status and add men's lacrosse.Title 9. It’s very hard to start a men’s sport.
Bingo.Upgrade USC's club field hockey team to NCAA status and add men's lacrosse.
Who is funding that? When Penn St added mens hockey they were forced to add a women’s program all at a cost of $100MM
B1G programs more likely to add men’s programs are Michigan St, Minnesota, and outside of the B1G, BCU.
USC is literally building an on campus lax stadium as we speak. How much of adding hockey was facilities? Not an issue with field hockey and lacrosse. And SC seems to have the money to do it, though I may be mistaken.
But are they adding a men’s team or a women’s team?USC is literally building an on campus lax stadium as we speak.
But are they adding a men’s team or a women’s team?
They already have a women's team. The logical way to add a men's team would be to start field hockey at the same time. But are they adding a men’s team or a women’s team?
A lax/soccer stadium, not a FH stadium. Where are those 3 teams going to practice while one of the teams is playing games? So you'd have 4 programs trying to jockey for use. That's hard to do if you don't have a lot of other space, which they definitely don't.USC is literally building an on campus lax stadium as we speak.

With the new schollie limits, they don't have to start a new women's team ...just add women's schollies to existing women's sports. They already have a women's team. The logical way to add a men's team would be to start field hockey at the same time.
