PISCATAWAY, N.J.
- The Big Ten Conference has released a 10-game regular season schedule for Rutgers men's soccer beginning on Friday, Feb. 19.

The Scarlet Knights will play five games at Yurcak Field, and five on the road in the first season of its kind, played over the course of six weeks in the spring.

"I could not be happier for our players," said head coach Jim McElderry. "To have Big Ten games officially scheduled is the first step to actually playing a meaningful match. We are all well aware we are in a challenging time, but our players have sacrificed a lot to be here and I am looking forward to having them compete together as Rutgers' men's soccer team. Thank you to our administration and all of our support staff in helping our players return to play and stay healthy now and in the future."

Rutgers opens the season on Friday, Feb. 19 at Michigan State. RU will also visit Wisconsin (Feb. 27), Penn State (March 15), Maryland (March 23) and Ohio State (March 27).

The Scarlet Knights host Penn State in the home opener at Yurcak Field on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Other home dates include Maryland (March 3), Michigan (March 7), Indiana (March 19) and Northwestern in the regular season finale on Sunday, April 4.

Rutgers plays its closest regional opponents - Maryland and Penn State - twice each in a home-and-home series on the spring 2021 schedule. RU will see six other opponents one time each.

All game times will be announced at a later date as television designations are decided, and health and safety protocols are ensured at each institution.
