So far RU1 Bing 0. Wow, now these boys are playing soccer. Absolutely night & day from last year.

I always forget that soccer has the stupid clock rules where the clock counts down and ends right at 0:00. Stunning goal before the half.
Men's soccer wins 3-2. A 4-0 start and RVs is about as good a start as anyone envisioned. Beat Manhattan and we will have 3 ranked Olympic sports at the same time.
We have ourselves a real soccer coach now.
Wow! And this is without a full year to recruit and before the Rodkin Center opens!!! About 420 days to go before the opening !!!
This doesn't resemble last year's team at all! They played well, with skill and aggression, all over the field. That goalie looked v good.
The coaching this year is night and day compared to last year. Last year the team had no shape and no strategy other than praying for Hall to pull a goal out of his you know what. There was no cohesiveness between defense, midfield, and attack and the team got torn apart because they lacked compactness defending.
This year the talent is better, but more importantly they play as a unit. The back four have played very well and the French CB and Freshman LB have been great additions to DeVizio and Longo. The goalie is very good, the Norwegian CM is great at progressing play up the pitch, the Spanish CM is very good playing that attacking role, and the other additions have played better than expected.
Hopefully they can keep this going. I remember when I was a kid going to watch a top 10-15 RU side and the stands being at capacity. If they continue this run throughout the month we could see that again for the MSU game on the 27th.
