done it before but want to see if there is any other ways to get there.

Plan was to go from Hamilton to MSG but it take too long as it makes every stop on way.

Going Newark to MSG. 42nd to citi field. Wife wants to hang out in city after game so we are taking train into city rather than drive every where tomorrow.

Just need reminders 7 train from 42nd to citi??

Thanks

You may wish to consider LIRR from NY Penn Station. More expensive and less frequent, but more comfortable and convenient.

If you are hanging out in NYC afterward, then I would say return via the 7 train to Times Square. They run express service which starts once the game ends.

I think 7 is easiest. If u don't want to walk from penn st to times sq just take subway and transfer to 7 in the station. FYI all the options are right on the mets website (for driving, train, etc)

Option 1

Drive to city via Lincoln tunnel and park at Port Authority (42nd street)
Can get 7 train from here after walking through underground passageway.

After game can take 7 train back to Times Square and hang out there. I like eating at Carmine's or Tonys. Then it's a short walk back to car

Option 2

Take Turnpike North to Exit 15x. Park at Edison Parkfast which is right next to Secaucus Junction. Take train to Penn Station, which is 1 stop. Walk to 42nd street, where you get the 7 train.

Another option we have used. Drive to Hoboken, Take PATH to last exit/33rd, walk over the Penn Station and take LIRR to Willets Point/Citi Field. I hate the subway to Citi Field. But the PATH is not great either.

If you will be driving to Newark, how about going to Secaucus Jct, then to Penn Station? Parking is cheap (I recall but I may not be right) and it is right off the Turnpike on exit 15X. As to subway, it is indeed the infamous 7 train.
