Here we go again......nobody except pornstache lolAhmir Mitchell got a lot of attention as well. NJ produces elite talent, now we just have to keep them home.
Schiano had a lot of issues (ego, x's & o's, in game adjustments) BUT the guy could recruit like nobody's business.

That's a bs excuse and if Pitt is hard then What is the B1g East?Recruiting at Rutgers in mid 2000s was a wee bit harder than at Pitt with their history .
zero...zero would be the answer. How many times was he even number 1 in the BE? GS was an OK recruiter...Yes, he held a great presence in a room but I don't remember it being any grander then most HC's. We make the mistake of only comparing him to other Rutgers HC's.
That's a bs excuse and if Pitt is hard then What is the B1g East?
The last HC to beat WVU was Graber inGoing off topic but still blows my mind GS never beat WVU while they had 3 different head coaches. That's incredible.

I'm saying if you excuse schiano for Always losing out to Pitt how can you hold our coaches accountable against the teams in our league now?I'm not saying recruiting at Pitt was hard. I don't follow your arguement at all. Recruiting at Pitt was easier in the mid 2000s than recruiting at Rutgers in the mid 2000s. Are you saying the opposite ?
That's right. I was on the '92 team. The last HC to beat WVU was Graber in
'94.Did it in '92 as well.
And a bs illegal man down the field call away from beating Lville. What's the saying if my uncle had...RU was a dropped Townsend pass away from beating WVa and going to the Orange Bowl. Also a missed Ito FG and a blown call on a RU fumble recovery deep in WVa territory. If any of those 3 things are changed RU plays beats WVa in Morgentown and goes to the Orange Bowl. Of course getting crushed by Cinn later in the season was very bad for Schiano.
Then I owe you B1G apology for leaving theVTECH game early,on Hallween, and missing the great winning comeback. Listened to it though as I left to pick up my Grand kids in MILLTOWN,.That's right. I was on the '92 team.
You have links to these stars. I find nothing on the main board about their gameSickening to see the stars of the show, Jabril Peppers, Karim Walker, and Rashan Gary paraded like captured pirates. btw notice O'Korn who killed us in Houston two years ago. All that Michigan grows at home are big farm boy linemen?

I had a key stop early in the 4th quarter on a 4th and 1 play. WVU was in plus territory. Met the QB at the LOS on an option play and we danced all the way to the sideline for no gain. Then I
Rough night? Yes I brought them up because you said he was a terreriifc recruiter. I pointed out he couldn't even out recruit Pitt which caused you to make excuses for him. Schiano was a good recruiter, personally, I think he was ok but I'll give you good. He was far from excellent and his classes show that.Who's accusing Schiano for always losing out to Pitt? All I said was he was a terrific recruiter. You brought up up Pitt, not me.
But wound licking is a favorite past time here. Can we spend more time talking about the players on Rutgers, than the ones that got away. The ones that got away will never helps us.:chairshot:
Schiano got better as a recruiter as time went on. What really helped him was the guys who joined the staff after Wanny was fired at Pitt. Also, I think Schiano did OK at the beginning to get a lot of Florida kids to buy in. Schiano and company coached up the kids to play better than was they were. I think during the middle years after '06 Schiano got too selective in the process and it cost him on a number of players.Rough night? Agree with all you said. I'm not anti schiano I reset where he brought this program but the rewriting of history is a bit much here.Schiano got better as a recruiter as time went on.
