Last one for 2014-15 (*sigh*). With Tyler, Kahleah and Rachel coming back, there should be lots of milestones next year, too.
Career milestones
Points
Betnijah ended the year with 1,401 points, 14th place overall. She ended up 12 points short of Liz Hanson's 13th place total of 1,413.
Kahleah ended the year with 1,271 points, passing Essence to move into 21st place. Tonight she passed Tammy Sutton-Brown to move into 22nd all time. She is just one point short of Lorrie Lawrence, who's in 20th with 1,272, 13 short of Patti Sikorski in 19th and 17 shy of Khadijah in 18th.
Tyler has 1,025 points, which puts her in 35th all time, having passed Dawn McCollough. She needs 2 points to tie Erica Wheeler for 34th, 26 points to tie Kristen Foley for 33rd and 29 points to tie Michelle Campbell for 32nd.
Rebounds
Betnijah ended the year with 912, good for 6th place all time. Sandy Tupurins is 32 boards away at 944 in 5th.
Blocks
Rachel has 219, and ends the year in 5th all time. She needs 26 to tie Tanya Hansen for 4th at 245. The all time record is 293, held by none other than Sue Wicks. While Rachel would need more blocks than she got this year to break Sue's record, she had a stunning 127 in 2013-14, so she's fully capable of doing it.
Assists
Syessence ended her career with 397 assists, 9th all time. Kristen Foley is 8th with 455.
Steals
Syessence is the all-time record holder, for both men and women, with 294, 2 ahead of Tasha Pointer's previous record.
Games Played
Syessence and Betnijah ended the year with 129 games, and so they joined the now 8-way tie for 8th place overall with Ra, Patty Coyle, Patty Delehanty, Tasha, Michelle and April. They were one game short of the 3-way tie for 5th with 130 games.
Double-doubles
Betnijah becomes the 5th player in Rutgers history to average a double-double for an entire season. It's actually been done 8 times, with Sue Wicks having accomplished it three times and Sandy Tupurins having accomplished it twice.
And coaching:
C. Vivian Stringer has 952 wins, 3rd on the all-time list, and 9 behind Sylvia Hatchell, who has 961. She needs 146 wins to tie Pat Summitt, who had 1,098.
She now has 432 wins at Rutgers, which is 2 short of the number earned by Theresa Grentz.
She now has 182 Big Ten wins, and is 6 ahead of Rene Portland atop the all time list.
