Great pickup. Defense should be very solid next year if we can get a competent offense.
Very interesting. He saw Gavin and the offense up close. Probably thinks schiano and DC are the guys to get him to NFL.
Well if one thing is certain about Schiano in all his years at Rutgers, he knows how to get DBs into the NFL

I'm guessing he is Avery Young's replacement. Schiano knows how to get his DB ducks in a row. Melton (maybe), Rogers, Longerbeam, Abraham, and Loyal with Igbinosun and Dixon on the back end is more than solid.
I’d more look at DT than LB on defense. Having Toure and Walker back from injury should solidify the LB core.
Let's hope he's nearly as good! Peppers just popped on screen in College anytime the ball was near him

Doesn't materially change the fact that GS's defenses haven't actually limited teams with an offensive pulse. We still need a huge influx of add'n talent and better coaching schemes.

Have to disagree as a whole. There were spots where the D was abused but most of the time they played well until turnovers and the overall offensive ineptitude put them in some very tough spots.

Yes we were decent at times on defense.. but we have far to go, esp with our pass coverage schemes. Look at what an average team like Maryland did to us, scoring at will. I didn't see any games in which GS's defense dictated the tempo of the contest. In contrast, it stemed the tide until the inevitable happened. I think we're making too many assumptions if we say the defense only played poorly because the offense was horrible.
Was he one of the guys in coverage that contributed to the Alaimo drop? If so that’s good as he inspired fear
