Football Monangai / Longerbeam out for spring, will be good to go for summer workouts

Rutgers Football RB Kyle Monangai and CB Robert Longerbeam will be held out for the remainder of spring after getting dinged.

Both are expected to be fine and ready to go for summer workouts. More scrimmage notes coming soon.

This sounds like a case of load management like you see in the NBA. You know what you're getting from Monangai and Longerbeam. This is a chance for some of the younger guys to gain valuable experience and sort out the pecking order at those positions.
