there won't be any security other than one kid at that gym. just walk in with a janitor jumpsuit and a bucket of spackle w/ couple tools and you're in.
Heard we played Monmouth pretty well in the scrimmage today and I thought it was optimistic talk from the few people I spoke with. But then Corey tweeted out he loved how they looked out there today.
I wonder if they won...either way, excited for the season to start! This will be my first full season of following the team!
Pikiell putting up poster of the team finishing last in the conference is getting these kids ready to battle.

This team is going to surprise people
Does "people" include Big Ten opponents? Wins are the measuring stick at the Div-1 level.
This is an exciting time. If we got the better of Monmouth that is amazing as they have almost their entire team back and they beat a lot of really good teams last year like UCLA, Southern Cal and Notre Dame and I think one or two others.
I should make a sign and hold it at the RAC that says "WIN FOR ART." Players would automatically begin running faster.
Hopefully we are in for some battles this year.

Good to read but let's not go too crazy about a pretty non-specific tweet by Josh Newman.
Not getting too crazy, but the past reports of the closed door scrimmages were not good.
From a few people close to the program. We outplayed Monmouth in 2-20min halves and a 10min zone portion was more evenly matched.
Yep... and worse yet, IIRC, we were totally outplayed by Lafayette in one of these closed scrimmages last year.
its always good to have positive vibes coming from the scrimmage since the past decades all of the reports were how abysmal the team competed. Progress.
Based on this closed scrimmage assessment, I smell minimum 18 wins and clearly on the bubble.
I'm optimistic, but we have little depth in the scoring department. Don't set your bar that high.
We are all desperate for news and hoping for the best, but I refused to get excited about leaked info about a "win" in a scrimmage with a good mid major team. We have no idea what King Rice, or Coach Pikiell were trying to accomplish during this scrimmage. So, IMHO, the results don't mean much.
2 things of note:
1. Josh Newman hates and always makes fun of Rutgers - so for him to be positive about Rutgers - means we clearly got the best of Monmouth during the scrimmage.
2. A few days ago and prior to the scrimmage, I ran into someone who would know a lot more about the Program and he told me that the team was looking real good in practice to date.
