This is another big piece to the puzzle. Looking forward to the announcement tomorrow of the California kid. You see when ships begin to fill, decisions have to be made. I'm guessing there's more confirmed interest from other kids so that's why the quick visit. This kid should want to come here. Everyone should want to come here. Rutgers is going to be a top program in the next few years.

I wouldn't expect Mathis to commit anywhere until after the July live period. He is still getting offers and stock is rising. It's pretty common for recruits in the upcoming cycle to not start announcing decisions until late July/August. I would not read into him not committing yesterday as a bad sign. It's a positive sign he was there with his family and seems to be seriously considering Rutgers. Fingers crossed.

Rutgers has made known multiple times their strong interest in this recruit.Mathis obviously has options and the longer the recruiting process continues additional schools will get involved which rarely has helped Rutgers close the deal.A shooter/scorer is a must get for 2018.
