MSU/Alabama Game

It was fair and square, does not mean that they are the better team. MSU was better that one game.
Games are decided on the field, not in your mind, or by stats or fantasy league nonsense. You can say Ohio State has better talent, but you can not say they are the better team.

OSU this year would beat MSU 95 times out of a hundred. Alabama obviously also would beat them 95 out of 100. Its just unlucky for the conference things turned out how they did.

Any team that was in danger to losing in the 2nd half to us didnt deserve to be in that game. This game will be the rallying cry to move to an 8 team playoff in a few years

Only ohio state could've beaten Alabama and I'm not sure they could've done it. Msu is good, very good, but not quite NC good. College football is so sclerotic. The same teams year after year.

My buddy (an RU grad) works for the University of Alabama, goes to the home games, follows them closely, and said "a mobile qb can be problematic for us, however, if a team has a pocket passer, we usually do very well."

Yep. I don't think Clemson will win but Bama locks down strict pocket passers.

Granted I didn't see Bama play as much this year as past year but it seems like they definitely came together and get better down the stretch for sure--doesn't seem like they can be stopped heading into the National Championship game.

I said when the matchups came out that it was a bad matchup for MSU. Alabama chews up and spits out pro style teams like MSU much more often than not. The only thing MSU had going for it IMO was the intangible way they usually perform as an underdog with a chip on their shoulder. Dantonio is great with that kind of stuff. It didn't matter much yesterday. That game played out the way I expected. It was close early and some people at the party I was at were thinking it was going to be a good game I said just wait it may be close early but they usually pull away as the game wears on and that's what happened. I thought it would be at least a 14 pt win. They have a serviceable, not great, qb and their offense isn't the best but it wears you down and their defense is very good against these pro style teams.

I've posted this before but if you look at all of Alabama's losses in recent times they were to spread teams. OSU/OU/Ole Miss two times in a row/A&M/Utah/Auburn. It doesn't mean you're going to beat them if you have a spread but it gives you the best chance. I actually think Clemson has a fair chance to beat them. They have both a good offense and defense along with a mobile qb. We'll see if they can hold up to the pressure of playing in a NC game and perform up to their ability.

Let us be honest, we were tied 24-24 with MSU. They scored in last minute. Bama has a great front four.

Since Alabama is a 7 point favorite at this point, I am still taking Clemson and the points. Dabo for the national title against his Alma mater. Doesn't get better than that (until Rutgers is in this game) for now.

The post MSU Ohio St team would plaster Alabama - just like last year (its practically same OSU team minus the WR fiascoes). Best team in country will play ND tomorrow. Not that I'm blaming anyone but OSU for their 2015 bellyflop
Another imagine thread. OSU didn't take care of business in their house, they deserve what they got. The Alabama front seven is beast, if you have watched them this year you would know that. To say OSU "would plaster" bama is ridiculous.
