Death, taxes, the passive aggressive sojo comment where he claims total oblivion to realizing it was a passive aggressive comment meant to ruffle feathers
Good lucky to Paul. *a lot of a holes treated him bad at the end.

There ya go, same exact thing with no room to claim passive aggressiveness. Let’s see if it changes anything.

While I agree with you if you’re a public figure this will happen no matter where you go. There are lots of miserable people out there

Good luck to Paul. It’s a shame he was treated so bad at the end.

Looking forward to watching some Paul pac12 action. Becoming an RU hoops fan tradition.
I'll not wish him well or failure, he left the Rutgers Basketball program for another.
But will thank Paul for his role in making RU MBB a good program
along with hoping his time as a Husky is injury free .
I'll let Washington U Basketball fans root for him now,
I'll root for who stayed at RU and those that are just joining the program now.

Paul was treated with love and hate on this board, depending on his play and the circumstances surrounding him.
Just like every other player on the roster was during the season and after.

It’s only unique/hypocritical imo because 95% of the fan based was obsessed with him and his character (opposite of how he was viewed by fan bases around the country) and then turned on him (in a personal way) when he dipped.

I think his move was best case for all parties involved.

I am not sure people flipped like that. If they did they’re childish and who cares really.

Washington already picked up two PGs from the portal earlier this cycle. Sahvir Wheeler from Kentucky and Nate Calmese from Lamar.

A LOT of portal activity - looks like they lost 7 players to the portal, and have picked up 6 with Mulcahy.

Dawg's thoughts about adding Paul
Woof: Washington Lands Rutgers Grad Transfer PG Paul Mulcahy - UW Dawg Pound
>Given his size it seems reasonable to think that Mulcahy can start at the shooting guard spot alongside Sahvir Wheeler. A likely starting lineup of 5’9 Wheeler, 6’7 Mulcahy, 6’7 Brooks, 6’8 Wood, and 7’1 Meah has enough size to make up for Wheeler being shorter than you’d typically want from one player at the top of the zone. Washington gets additional flexibility having a 6’7 player that can also run the point if necessary.<

Might have to catch a UW game for the hell of it. They have been pretty bad under Hopkins the last few years and if he doesn’t turn it around this season he’s probably gone.

They call him a “jumbo” point guard. Is that anything like “jumbo” shrimp?
They seem to feel his size puts him head and shoulders over the other PGs on roster when it comes to starting..

This site makes Paul look like a savior
Washington Lands Rutgers Transfer Guard Paul Mulcahy - Sports Illustrated Washington Huskies News, Analysis and More

>On the floor, Mulcahy is an excellent ball-handler, which Washington has dearly missed over the last few seasons. He can finish with either hand around the rim and can score from all three levels of the floor while also converting tough shots on a routine basis.

Defensively, he's a perfect fit for Hopkins' zone. He averaged 1.5 steals per game during his senior season and plays with a lot of energy and aggression. His intelligence and timing when it comes to disrupting passing lanes might remind some Husky fans of Matisse Thybulle.

In what looks to be the final move of the offseason, this is a big win for the Husky staff. Mulcahy picked Washington over Notre Dame and Xavier and could be just what the Huskies need to turn the program around after missing the NCAA Tournament for four straight seasons.<

Best of luck to Paul. He picked a great school with a one of the most beautiful campuses I’ve ever been to that’s also so very far away from home. He’s obviously looking for a big change of pace. I hope he finds it and prospers.

But you didn’t actually want Paul back. And you think we’re a better team without him.

You also mocked him when he won that sportsmanship award.

Why not post about that instead of trying to repeatedly ruffle feathers with a fake passive aggressive post lol.

We know you’re not sad that he’s moved on.

Didn’t want him back. Many here did. Many here want him to lead the team next year. Instead he walked out on his teammates (I think he made the right call, but most people were very upset by this.

I Said it was a joke he won that award. Of course it was. But I never made anything personal like most people did after they spent weeks praising him as a person in parallel to ripping cam.

This is a good thing for everyone involved but so many posters (post quoted a good example) can’t let it go and have made it personal.

Surprising yes. But $ is a factor. And Washington is desperate for a tourney bid. Hopkins the long time cuse assistant is on his last legs. They had a good off season. They brought in Wheeler a grad guard from UK, often hurt but a good player, ironically also a point. they also added a scoring guard In the sun belt frosh of the year. Also They bring in a 4 star frosh, and added the Nebraska big wearing goggles. All while returning a fellow UK transfer Brooks who is an all conference player. All in all, if u look at it, they are def a tourney potential team.

Likely a tourney or bust year for Hopkins. Purse was open
