There were rumors floating around that Clayton would not qualify. I thought I read on another site that he qualified and is ready to go. Does anyone know the status?

With something like this, we probably won't know for sure till the freshman report, unless he or someone close to him decides to share the info. This is likely a wait and see, unless someone like Todderick or Bobby do an article confirming his status.
If it's an NCAA clearinghouse issue, who knows when we'll know. They operate on their own schedule and at their own speed.

I did, but OP also said he thought he read that he was eligible. I don't need ESPN type rumor reporting on this board. He's the one saying he thought he read that he's eligible. I only like good news when it's confirmed. That's all
The freshman should be on campus. So is Clayton on campus? If he isn't its because clearing house hasn't cleared him yet. He could still be cleared up till camp like Wilkins last year.

^thats not the point. The point is that he mentioned that Clayton is eligible. If someone is going to deliver some good news, I would prefer that it's not speculation and that it actually has been confirmed. That's all. Everyone knows about Barnwell, but no one has said "I read on another site that he is qualified and ready to go." If OP read that somewhere, I would like to see that.
You are wrong period. The OP never claimed anything he asked a question.
I read on nj.com (in the comment section) that he is on campus, so I was just inquiring if that meant he got through clearinghouse...I wasn't claiming or reporting anything, just asking a question....hence the question mark????

Not it doesn't mean he passed the clearinghouse. You can enroll and even start practice and still be declared ineligible from the clearinghouse. That is rare but does happen. More then likely if he at preseason camp then it likely he passed the clearinghouse because most school will hold them out if it still in doubt.
