It says all you'd want to hear about the principles of the NCAA that they would allow the MBB Final 4 to be played at a stadium with the naming rights supporting a For Profit sham college that rips-off the government and students. Heaven forbid they use a stadium that doesn't suit transsexuals, but participating in a colossal fraud that harms education and cheapens college degrees? ...sure, why not.

What a joke. Does anyone believe that scholarship athletes in D1 MBB, WBB, or CFB, get an education that is equal to the average non-athletic scholarship students at the same colleges? The NCAA like the University of Phoenix is engaged in a sham that rips-off student athletes and the government. There are individual exceptions, but both the NCAA and the University of Phoenix, do much more to harm the cause for education than they do to help it.

Cool rant, but any student athlete that does not get a proper education has no one to blame but themselves and their parent(s).

No one is forcing you to go to a factory to play football. If you turn down Lehigh to play for "Penn State" don't complain when you wind up with a major in General Studies.

At some point you have to ask yourself.... Why does it need to cost $200,000+ for a 4 year college education?

Brick and mortar retail stores are dropping like flies. If people are willing to save $10 on sneakers online why not save $100,000+ by going online? It won't be long until it is mainstream.

I know someone who is 40 years-old who went to a public college, but then went for his Masters at a private college in Mass. ( I can't remember which one). Anyway,he told me still owes $40,000 at age 40 !!! That is crazy no matter what you majored in and do for a job. What did he go to school for and what does he do--librarian at a local library. Nothing wrong at all being a librarian, but why rack up those kind of debts if that is what you want to do. Go to a county college for two years, a public college for two and if you want to get a Masters,do it while you are working and get it through a public college. Just my opinion.

Do we really care who put up money to have naming rights to the damn stadium? Seriously? Gee, I once threw up on an American Airlines flight, so I wouldn't want to play in Dallas.

And to compare that to tolerating a state saying it has a legal right to not only discriminate but to bar any city or county from preventing discrimination is disgusting. "Suit transsexuals" is an ignorant comment, by the way, as a whole lot of fair-minded people -- including apparently many NBA players and college coaches, somehow got the weird idea in their heads that everyone should be treated equally.

Moron.

I know people who got degrees from Phoenix, and while I'm sure some people coast by,I can confirm it was no joke and lots of work was done to EARN the degree. (and not it isn't me)

Not for me. But I'm sure many have received a meaningful education at Phoenix. Don't believe everything Elizabeth Warren says.

People at U of Phoenix may earn their "degrees" but when they came to U of Florida when I taught there their credits didnt count/transfer because they arent accredited by an accepted accredidation board.

Does University of Phoenix accept DeVry Institute courses?
As an old-timer who took timed, in-person exams as an engineering undergrad, I've always wondered about the level of cheating at on-line programs.
The University of Phoenix did not have its origins at Chapel Hill, NC?
