NCAA Baseball Regionals

Yup, but the selection committee obviously wasn’t impressed. Apparently we didn’t lose to enough good teams like Ole Miss did to suit them.
VCU was an autobid team from the #21 ranked conference. 10 of the 12 teams were ranked in the bottom half of D1.

"We did not play enough of them" Exactly. That had to be a big factor. RU just didn't have enough wins that impressed.

Tell me who RU should have replaced in the tourney. Here is a comparison of 3 teams others have questioned....

Dallas Baptist - RPI #29, SOS #10, Non Conf SOS #1, 13-10 vs Quad 1.

Grand Canyon - RPI #50, SOS #80, Non Conf SOS #11, 8-7 vs Quad 1

Ole Miss - RPI #40, SOS #18, Non Conf SOS #107, 8-13 vs Quad 1

By comparison

Rutgers - RPI #43, SOS #148, Non Conf SOS #243, 1-3 vs Quad 1

Pilking up runs vs some of the worst teams in the country doesn't help. Neither does losing to Princeton, SHU and 2 of 3 to Omaha.
Anyone of them. Why do you only show the losses to try to make your argument without the wins. So sweeping 4/5 Big 10 teams means nothing to you. Dallas Baptist and Grand Canyon both went out quick 0-2. Dallas Baptist was a darling early but for the last month they were not ranked and not playing great baseball. They couldn’t shine our offensive shoes. Everyone was suprised Grand Canyon made it and clearly should not have been in over RU. Who do you root for and more importantly did you even watch us this year. ?

Who I root for doesn't mean I can't see things clearly. Before the tourney I said I didn't feel comfortable unless RU won or there weren't a number of tourney upsets. I wasn't the only one. After RU lost to Michigan for the 3rd time in a week+ Baseball America dropped them to last 4 out so they saw it too.

Did any of those teams, Indiana, OSU, Minn, or Neb have winning records? RU's record vs B1G teams with winning records was 4-7.

So those teams went out quick. What does that prove? Nothing. High seeds lose in every NCAA tourney.

I'm done with this stuff. A team with one of the most difficult schedules in the country loses so a team with a schedule 130 places behind should have been picked ahead of them in the 1st place. That's rich.

Baseball America did not drop them to last 4 out but last 4 in whereas they were a 3 seed beforehand. Keep your facts straight and get a new set of eyes. You take at large teams by who has the best chance to win a regional and that team was Rutgers. Now you can dismiss yourself since you are done with this stuff. Most of college baseball especially the coaches were shocked Rutgers and NC State were snubbed. Guess what ? Most of baseball were right.

On Monday after the B1G tourney they dropped RU to first 4 out

All I've done is show why I believe the committee left RU out. You can debate whether it was fair or unfair but there were reasons whether you want to accept it or not. Instead of attacking me, explain why they should have been included.

How do you work around...

Losing record against B1G teams with a winning record
1 win vs the Top 50 although it may be 2 if Michigan wins today.
140th strength of schedule and in the mid 200's OOC.

Maryland wins in extra innings. Deciding game tomorrow.

Still wondering who is going to pitch. Nine innings to fill. I think tonight there will be a lot of runs scored by both sides, although Connecticut has many more viable arms left...

Whether it is the Ann Arbor’s or LU, College Station is going to be extra hot and humid this weekend. 🕺

🔥🔥🔥

I wish Michigan would have won to make the Big Ten look better but I'm happy for their smug fans

Michigan got hosed. That was some of the worst officiating Ive seen in a long time...
Makes you wonder if there is a clear southern bias with this tournament

I did not see the game. Can you outline what happened? Was it as bad as we got hosed against them in the final of the tournament? I am curious.

Wow! you can see the fingers hit the glove moving the glove and his fingers bending upwards. Then his fingers come back down before hitting the base. Look I hate Michigan like the rest but that's a screw job. It's clear as day if you go frame by frame.
It’s fun when a screw job happens to the likes of state penn or the maize people!
This is devastated me ➡️☺️

Not only that there was a clear strike 3 the umpire called a ball, next pitch the guy hits the go ahead homerun...wasn't really rooting for Michigan but that was egregious..happened all in the span of a few minutes

It looks like Connecticut scored six runs on one hit in the first inning against Maryland. They opened with four walks, a hit batsman and a grand slam. Not your prototypical big inning. Now 10–5.
