OSU Unanimous #1 but they are the only B1G in the top 25 (Wisconsin and Northwestern also received votes).

A record 10 SEC teams are in the top 25.

We know the drill, SEC teams will knock each other off but will never leave the top 25 because the SEC is so strong!

Also, Temple received some votes.

the poll seems ok. Actually think Mich State is too high. Should probably be around 7-9. What did they do this weekend that was so impressive as the #5 team? For a while Western Mich was moving the ball all over.

Not sure it's worth getting upset about now. The majority of that list is the usual, ol legacy programs, some of which are sure to get bounced in due time. And not enough games to move anyone up too dramatically.

And what's the B1G's argument? Not exactly a banner week for its traditional powers: Nebraska lost to BYU; Michigan lost to Utah; Wisconsin got handled by Alabama; and, of course, Penn State got trampled by Temple in the most awesome way imaginable. Northwestern has an argument, and it got a lot of votes. It'll be in if it keeps winning.

Michigan state will get a huge bump if they can win big against oregon. Statement game this weekend

guess Minnesota got 5 votes from the TCU writers and Louisville 4 votes from the Auburn writers

You would think a team that won by 50 points would be in that top 25.
Again the pollsters underestimate RU o_O

Not a chance. Our wins would be one over an FCS school, two over schools who lost to FCS schools, and one over a team who lost to Temple. The voters would not be impressed.

I certainly won't be rooting against B1G teams in OOC games. Ok, I'll make an exception for TTFP.

"The Big Ten is very bad right now, but that isn't exactly news to anyone. Blame Penn State and Michigan"

And yet... we just ended a 8 or 9 year run in which the SEC could have as many bad weeks as they wanted because the national champion came from their conference.

Times like this will really show the SEC bias imo.

Georgia deserves to be ranked IMO.

Tennessee? Beat Oklahoma this week and okay, lose and you don't belong.

Missouri... obviously they are getting the benefit of the SEC doubt. Look at them to go on a big winning streak and reach the top 15 without a big test: Arkansas State, UConn, at Kentucky, South Carolina, Florida, at Georgia. They could make it to 6-0 before coming to Athens.

#25 Mississippi State plays LSU this week. Lose and they are out, win and watch the voters keep LSU in.

Drives me crazy when we start to talk about our schedule being so weak. Let's see how many SEC schools are still ranked in the top 25 when they are 4-0 and have maybe played 1 P5 team. If we are 4-0, we would have beaten what was expected to be a C.Weiss coached Kansas, a Leach coached WSU and a Franklin coached PSU.
BTW- the only way we are going to get in the playoffs this year is to be 12-0 and win the CC. So, for this year- I don't give 2 shats how our conference mates do OCC. If we end with 7/8/9 wins- we will be ranked where we will be ranked regardless. And if Mich/PSU/Ind suck, our 8 wins will get us the best bowl we have ever been to. That will give our program a much bigger boost then saying- hey, the B1G conference is soooo good.

Big 10 was terrible last year too, according to all the analysts but they crushed the almighty sec and other conferences in bowl games...please let the season work itself out
