The matte helmet is my favorite, we haven't used it in quite some time. Doesn't really go with the current uniforms.

I like the matt black helmet. I think it can go with any uniform. I'm glad we tinker with helmets/uniforms. But I will be flabbergasted if we don't do something/anything about the "read-a-bility " of the numbers on the red uniforms. How in the world have we not addressed that yet?

HATE the home unis. I'd rather we use the away unis for ALL games. The all white with red accents REALLY looks great regardless of helmet.

Because of the light in the room you can only barely see the scars. These are the same uniforms. They are obviously in a photoshoot for some kind of football magazine. They will be the faces of the program this year.

Ya, the current uniforms have those "battle scars" on the shoulders as well... It was visible every game last season and is even visible on the white unis in the pic that RUseaweed posted in this thread of PJ, Carroo, and Darius.

Every picture in this thread has scars on them. The lighting in the room the pictures were taken is messing with your eyes.

That's all the people who dislike the uni are saying.. they hate the reds, like the all-whites (without the red belt and with the chrome or white helmets). What is so wrong about expressing that opinion?

Is it OK to wear white after Labor Day? Why do they have those bars across the front of the helmet? I don't remember having those when I was young.

Nike pays Rutgers to wear them. Nike won't change a damn thing until they want to unless it goes against NCAA rules.

I have no idea as to when Nike plans to do a refresh. You will have to ask Nike.

no such thing, it is just a template. Nike reuses it to save money. They do it all the time, you just haven't noticed it.

You can see versions of Rutgers uniforms in college and high school. Same with most schools.
