iMO…what Pike MUST do to get this program foundation back pronto ….or else

The one area I disagree with most. I see Ogbole as the guy I want to see retained. Over all players on the roster.

He has the size and the body and the price tag to be our shot blocking 5.
Except Ogbole has never shown to be a rim protector. He’s a pretty good rebounder, but that’s about it.

He is not a rim protector nor a good rebounder. He sets good hard screens. That is it. That is his contribution other than occasional layup when he is wide open.

Gard realized changes were necessary at Wisconsin. He made them and they have worked out wonderfully for the Badgers.

This is a good read. Pike could learn something from it.

Excellent read and adaptation with Gard. Bringing in offensive gurus that used the European model , kinda like what Hurley did at UConn , to improve the offense was critical. Having 4’s that can shoot the 3 and 5’s that can as well also helped immensely. Plus getting old and those guys developing has helped along with 3 sophomores who improved tremendously from their freshman year. A perfect storm.

You are all assuming a worth while GM and AHC are going to want to join a program where the coach is nationally known to be on the hot seat.

Its most likely that we get a retread in those spots that you're all gravely disappointed in.

Then you need to hope he lands 2-3 impact transfers who can score and play defense with limited NIL (has he landed 2-3 in total since NIL became a thing)

Its like 500:1 odds he turns this around.

He is getting fired in 12 months guys, barring a miracle. Accept it, don't do this to yourselves.

All I’m doing here is setting the criteria that I believe the next AD needs to see to say ….”he is my coach” next November .

I understand it’s an uphill battle, as do most of us …..
