New Ohio State Lockerroom

Looks cheap....
Looks like the seats came from an airplane.

Agree, with a previous poster, new OSU locker room looks like they ripped some economy seats out of an old 737 and reupholstered them in the team colors. Awful.

Different place Ohio. Clearly different fire codes as well.
I think probably that whomever is designing these lockers rooms (presumably there is some company that does that for lots of schools) is not thinking about overheating batteries. Ohio's great (I haven't really been in too many states where I didn't enjoy the place or the people, TBH).

Do locker rooms carry that much weight in recruiting? Why would one make a decision based on locker room appearance? Seems to be a very shallow thing. I think OSU’s on field success has much more to do with recruiting top players.

While I agree locker rooms are a lousy reason to choose a school and team, I guess if a 5 star player is choosing between Alabama and OSU, every little difference could be important.

If the school is putting that much into their locker room then they are likely providing other amenities that are of a high caliber. And that also signals they likely have considerable NIL as well since a lot of those locker room upgrades are funded by boosters.

So these are more lounges than locker rooms. How much time are they spending in there?

Seats ripped off from the airlines & size of the seats ripped off from the as well. How is a 350lb lineman fitting comfortably in those seats??
Where are she shoulder pads & Jersey hanging?
How long is that grey staying grey before it's black & green from the turf?

This is not a well thought out design at all.

Why would a school pay for those perks when the players are paid to show up?

So i just watched the video - yeah, I can see where OL would have trouble fitting their bulk in there. But, also, the room for the shoulders of most of the players seems very cramped.

And, as Mrs. Screw said, good luck keeping those clean.

Why do companies offer perks when they pay their employees salaries? It’s to attract the best talent possible.

Yeah? They have perks like that where you work? Because no one I know does. They just pay the best talent more.

Enough perks are provided to be competitive.
Good football players are scarcer than good employees. So they get the best perks, which are funded by donors. And will probably be used for at least 10-15 years.

Roughly 33.3% of your salary is benefits, in the form of healthcare, 401K, and in some cases stock options or stock purchase plans. So you’re actually getting a better deal.
