The big amari Williams, Zach martini at forward and mark Armstrong at guard sound like the three types of transfers the team needs..looks like they have the right idea to me ..maybe a little better shooter and less of an attacking scorer than Armstrong at guard otherwise looks like the coaches have it covered..Didn't we just go through the "lower level guard who scores through plays at the rim and not a great shooter" with Austin Williams?
And it didn't translate up to the Big Ten?
Don't we need impact players and not role players?
Literally a starting wing/forward and an elite shooting guard.
Are we really ready to have Gavin starting (and more importantly closing) next year?
Was the "transfers will want to play with Ace and Dylan" narrative overrated or are we just not looking for impact players for the backcourt/wing?
I forgot about the guy from Merrimac lol...I deleted that from my memory and only remembered what aligned with my personal thoughts...I agree about that, at the rim scorer with a poor 3pt shot, idk about that. I'm sure they have a plan though..Didn't we just go through the "lower level guard who scores through plays at the rim and not a great shooter" with Austin Williams?

Austin Williams missed an entire season due to a knee injury and was a late addition because they were in desperate need for guards. On a normal year, he's not a take.Didn't we just go through the "lower level guard who scores through plays at the rim and not a great shooter" with Austin Williams?

I hope at least one of them can shoot.Austin Williams missed an entire season due to a knee injury and was a late addition because they were in desperate need for guards. On a normal year, he's not a take.
They need rotation pieces and a starting center. They are actively looking for a guard, a four man and big man currently.
It was not overrated and I'd highly encourage you check out the premium side of things since Rutgers is very involved with several players.

Not everyone that is going to enter the portal has entered yet. Relax brother.
They all can shoot but too many might be bricks.Fans just have to wait and see what players are on the roster for next season.Only then can we judge shooting ability.I hope at least one of them can shoot.
Until he finds out how much money he can make
Richie if Oskar ends up leaving, that makes 4 spots.Austin Williams missed an entire season due to a knee injury and was a late addition because they were in desperate need for guards. On a normal year, he's not a take.

Hopefully so. He can hoopUntil he finds out how much money he can make
Absolutely. Promises were certainly made. Winning a championship ? C’mon now. That’s a pipe dream goal. Two one and done kids competing against guys 4-5 years older and more experienced isn’t a recipe for major success.I don't like what this seems motioned towards. Feels like we're aiming to showcase Dylan and Ace -- moreso than winning a championship
He's better than anybody we return IMO. Not sure how he fits but a take without question for us.I forgot about the guy from Merrimac lol...I deleted that from my memory and only remembered what aligned with my personal thoughts...I agree about that, at the rim scorer with a poor 3pt shot, idk about that. I'm sure they have a plan though..
This could be the mindset -- but doesn't have to be. Dylan and Ace both have spoke many times, about wanting to play for a championship. So if Rutgers added guys- that they would have to share shots with. If they truly meant it, they would welcome it. You don't need big numbers to go in the lottery. Marvin Willams avg 11pts and 6rbs for UNC, and still went #2 overall in the draft.Absolutely. Promises were certainly made. Winning a championship ? C’mon now. That’s a pipe dream goal. Two one and done kids competing against guys 4-5 years older and more experienced isn’t a recipe for major success.
Hopefully we will win enough to change the recruiting level after next year. That’s what next year is about
Only one ball so nobody in demand with major minutes, major NIL and high scoring expectations will come, except hopefully a decent 5.
What else would they say ? “I’m here for 1 year and all else being equal I’d rather win than lose but I’m not sticking around”This could be the mindset -- but doesn't have to be. Maybe landing the portal talent is a pipe dream. But let's say if RU could land Amari Williams and a Mikeal brown jones type. Maybe a bench shooter. That's a strong core. No reason to think we couldn't go on a deep run. That should be the mindset for 2024
Yea I doubt they selfishly want next year to be just about them. Ace mentioned winning it all a bunch of times. Dylan talked about how good they could be if Cliff came back, and earlier he talked about Gavin too, before his rough season. They want to play with talented teammates. What else would they say ? “I’m here for 1 year and all else being equal I’d rather win than lose but I’m not sticking around”
Of course it’s better to get these two for a year than not at all but beyond making the tourney anything more might be out of reach without additional big time talent, which I doubt we can attract.
Really taking their win championships as if they mean it? If they meant it, they'd be planning to stay in college for more than a year, which they aren't.This could be the mindset -- but doesn't have to be. Lmao.. Kids aren't forgoing millions of dollars -to trying win a college championship. But does not mean they don't want to go for it while thereReally taking their win championships as if they mean it? If they meant it, they'd be planning to stay in college for more than a year, which they aren't.
Nor should they forgo, but they know what program they are coming to, it's just talk saying it. Of course they will try to win every game possible.Lmao.. Kids aren't forgoing millions of dollars -to trying win a college championship. But does not mean they don't want to go for it while there
Every player will try to win. Dylan wanting Cliff to comeback. Dylan supposedly trying to recruit guys to come to Rutgers. Dylan talking about he liked Kansas so much - bc they were always makin deep tournament runs. He wants to win. He would gladly accept other good players coming to RU, and its not just about him and Ace being showcased. That's what we're talking about hereNor should they forgo, but they know what program they are coming to, it's just talk saying it. Of course they will try to win every game possible.
talk Is cheap. neither of those two are coming here to score 10 ppg. They are coming here to be dynamic players and prolific scorers and top10-15 draft picks and Pike will give them that opportunity, as he should.Every player will try to win. But their not just talking.. Ace literally recruited Dylan to come join him. Thats some proof for you right theretalk Is cheap. neither of those two are coming here to score 10 ppg. I was only commenting on the them wanting to win championships comments, as if that meant anything.Every player will try to win. Dylan wanting Cliff to comeback. Of course good players want to play with other good players . That’s a given although in the world of NIL maybe not anymore bEvery player will try to win. Dylan wanting Cliff to comeback. Not true. The elite basketball programs every year bring in top tier players that take playing time from returning players. In Rutgers case financial constraints might be the reason for not attracting higher level talent.Absolutely.
