As part of the updated brand identity, all 24 Rutgers teams will showcase consistent colors, logos, lettering and numerals over the course of the next few seasons. The football uniforms offer a very traditional look, with visibly larger numbers, chainmail pattern and new helmets. Women’s basketball, Women’s Soccer and Men’s Basketball also support traditional looks, and add both the chainmail and secondary mark as well.

Love them. Traditional and not to flashy Flood era uniforms. Good riddance.

Video is interesting. "Trust me on this, Nike loves Rutgers." Question is enough to cough up money when their deal ends this summer? That will be the question. Currently, Rutgers only gets "in kind" and no money from the Nike deal.

I'm pretty sure we get money, just not much.

After I watched the video with a bunch of tools over talking branding... I hated this direction even more.

Yes, classic is the way to go... but the all white scheme just looks ridiculous and non-intimidating. In so many ways.

I pray Ash doesn't scrap the all black look. The kids love it and always brought their best game in them. It was always the jersey that was more difficult to get in stores. Fans (especially younger demo) love it.

Should be scarlet at home, black away. With white accents on both.

And yes... the knight head was poorly designed. Looks like he's staring down in shame. Way to go Nike!

So lame...the only thing i like is the new knight.

All you blind people can see the numbers now...unfortunately they're way too EFFIN BIG.

Confirmed he isnt. They will wear all black once a year. Will be unveiled during season.

lol If I'm a college football player, and am "intimidated" by a uniform on the other side of the line of scrimmage, I'm quitting right there and then.

"black away"? that might be the strangest thing I've ever heard about a football uniform but, hey, whatever floats your boat!

I Like the red and the uniforms aren't terrible. Definitely an improvement. Don't like the knight head. It looks like it's falling forward.
