Don't have to cancel anything. Doubt it was never scheduled for tonight. For those that follow Rutgers football equipment on Twitter they've constantly said they would keep us updated on uniform news. They've said nothing today.

Where did you read or who advised you that this was occuring tonight?

The reveal is definitely on for tonight (and that includes uniforms for the other sports as well).

Someone I was with asked when they would be unveiled and we were told today. Neither of us asked much about it after that, only being told the numbers would be very viewable. Beyond that, I didn't inquire about specifics. Just figured it would happen.

That's the only mention of a uniform reveal anywhere, plus this site. So maybe.

Not doubting the OP and the twitter user were told something..I'm doubting what they were told is untrue.
 
Awesome thread. OP starts thread then tells people on the Twitter that he heard about the uniforms from this thread. Then suddenly decides the reveal is off.

So again who's the original source that the unis will be revealed??

I hope we keep some element of gray/silver or throw something else in. Too much red-white in this conference already.
 
Didn't believe it was happening since I didn't see a certain someone confirm this. He is always in the know for things such as this.
 
I would hope they keep the white helmet with red white and blue with stars, Block R for special occasions.

Not sure if you are referencing me. I mentioned it last week because it was told to me by someone who'd know. I didn't think it was a big deal to post since it is simply a pretty cool thing that generates interest. Personally, I am a patient guy. It doesn't make a huge difference to me when I see them.

I'm sort of sorry I said anything at this point.

I like to pride myself on being patient as well. That said, I think the "salmon jammies/faux battle scar/chrome/diet coke can helmet" look represents an era of Rutgers Football most of us would like to move on from ASAP. After the on the field stuff (which is most important) and the recruiting (which is second most important), a uniform change would be welcome since it is our brand/identity to the rest of the country. I hope what you were originally told comes to fruition this evening.
 
The uniforms are changing. That is a guarantee. Are we going to see them tonight? Until tomorrow comes and we don't see them, I will simply go with what I was told. He'd know more than anyone.
