NJ State Champion from West Essex like Perrotti. transferred in spring semester after playing football for a semester elsewhere.
macdonald was the finalist in the 2015 states at 220lb. he's a good wrestler though, and i hope he contributes to the hwt. i do feel correnti is better wrestler, but we'll find out.
He already cuts about 20 to 25 lbs after football to make 220. I think with a redshirt year and not trying to make 220 every year he could easily come in as a 245-255 redshirt frosh after a year in a college weight training program. And I'm not talking about just adding fat, but muscle. That's not a bad size for a 1st year heavy.I went to region 7, and Friday and Saturday in AC. Correnti is a beast. But his body type is going to take some time to put on weight. He's not a big body that can add a lot of weight quick. He's going to have to do it over some time.
Totally agree, don't think he will have any trouble adding pounds of muscle. Not worried at all about him being a great addition after a redshirt year.He already cuts about 20 to 25 lbs after football to make 220. I wouldn't use Johnson as an example. Johnson wasn't planning on wrestling. He didn't know he was going t wrestle until 3 weeks before the first match. He was a 195lb in high school and was only 216 during football season. So you have a underweight true freshmen trying to fill in after playing almost complete football season.Look at PSU Johnson this year, he was a 2 time PA champ and was 1-10(and believe only had one or two takedowns).
will gross be wrestling for RU? i remember some talking about it.
