First of all, wow what a game. Sets the stage for good year if things continue to progress.
A quick note to thank KYK, Rutgers Al and others on this board for their leadership and support on this topic. The movement continues to grow and we're only just getting started.
Here are a few updates on Knights of The Raritan and NIL at Rutgers.
Also, if you have yet to join KTR and want to support current student athletes for as little as $10 a month, you can join here. https://knightsoftheraritan.com/join/
We're hoping to sign up 100+ new members by the end of the Wagner game.
As always happy to answer any questions.
Thanks,
Jon

Here are a few updates on Knights of The Raritan and NIL at Rutgers.
- Some of us were in attendance last week at the Kickoff Celebration dinner where Schiano reiterated his TD Club message, this time to higher level donors. His main concern is his ability to retain players already in the program when the transfer portal reopens in December. This time University and Athletic Department leadership (Holloway, Hobbs, Tucker and Pikiell) were in the crowd and Tucker punctuated the thinking that NIL is now part of the "giving ecosystem." It is clear now that leadership is more aligned and my guess is you all will see more messaging around NIL and the focus to raise money to retain student athletes not only in the football program but in hoops and across the board.
- As a result of this and other conversations, we will be pursuing a 501-C3 arm of KTR and will have more info on this soon. If you are interested in making tax deductible donations, likely with a minimum donation required, please contact me at either henry@knightsoftheraritan.com or jnewman@hodgespart.com. Some have already reached out (thanks) and we will be in contact after we finalize things, create the structure and acquire our tax ID number.
- KTR will have a tent at the new Rutgers Boardwalk during home games to educate folks and for current members to have some fun. We will host three student athletes each week to sign autographs, take picture with fans, etc. We will be announcing our student athletes later this week so stay tuned. I will also be at the tent from 12noon - 1:00pm to personally answer questions. Please stop by and if you are a member, bring a friend so we can educate them and sign them up.
- Finally, we have some lofty goals for football season. If you are already a member, please have a friend sign up at https://knightsoftheraritan.com/join/ and then email us with their name. You will be entered into a drawing for a free gift.
