It wasn’t by choice that we have a recruiting class of out of staters. Most of the best NJ kids were offered and visited, at least unofficially and officially. A significant number of kids said No, so we got recruits from elsewhere. We got who we needed to get, and that’s AJ Surace, who I think is going to end up being the #1 Recruit in the State. He goes to school very close to my Moms house, and I think he is going to be a baller.
The only Jersey Kid I really wish we could have landed is Hornsby, who was all blue anyway, but now seems slated to grab a bag and go to Texas A&M. Daniels is getting a bag as is Thomas.
That’s ok, because it looks like we’re going to land Korey Duff, who should have a similar impact. If we get Duff, our receiving Corp is good to go.
The fact that we got so many of best kids to visit, tells me we are very close. If we can show a positive trajectory, and pull out 6 wins, we’ll land more of the best non bag taking NJ kids next year.
