This is so much worse unless Francis is coming for next to nothing. But I doubt that.
Remember Pike saying we’re going back to playing tough defense. I guess that was BS.
Are we really paying him and Buchanan? If they’re bench depth, great, but these are our starters!

Of course it is. We weren’t good 2 years ago but we won 15 games and had an elite D on a team that J-Mike played 23 minutes per game on. If you upgraded 2-4 and got a halfway decent center we might be okay if JMike had to play 26-27 minutes and maybe Lino will even come in and be able to contribute early.
We can’t be thinking of playing J-Mike and Francis together can we? If J-Mike leaves because of this we are in a far worse place. Doesn’t Pike realize Francis is like top 20 in the nation in turnovers? He cannot under any circumstance be the starting PG.
If J-Mike leaves over this, Pike deserves to lose his job. Francis is literally in the top 25 in turnovers per game. He was going up against Amer East defenses!
And they want us to "pony up" more money for this?
I wonder what the Conflict of Interest rules are in this regard? We’re really paying Brandon’s family friend a pile of money that nobody else would give him? No other power conference team would be taking this kid at this time. Maybe in August to fill out their roster with practice bodies. But not now.

If we’re paying top dollar for this kid to be a starter there’s nothing nice about this one.

If Davis leaves, this is fantastic. Davis doesn’t have a nanogram of PG talent.
Francis is a clear upgrade to J-Mike. I know his FG% is low and he turns it over a lot, but I think that was more of a factor of being on a bad team last season and having to carry the offense.
Watching his highlights he has a much better scoring arsenal on offense compared to J-Mike and can make deep threes.
If you really think this kid is a more talented PG than Davis then you really don't know very much.

every time Pike adds to this D2 roster and continues to move RU deeper into degradation, I will point out how he is not doing and has not done his job!

J-Mike isn't going anywhere... Davis and Francis have the same agent.
Francis is represented by Agent Omar Cooper of Lifestyle Sports and he also has a family connection to Brandin Knight, along with representing assistant coach Marlon Williamson and fellow Scarlet Knights guard JaMichael Davis.
Derkack should have stayed. We’re officially an NEC team. His turnovers are limited only by his number of possessions. Disaster.
