No. 13 Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse Faces No. 3 Maryland for Big Ten Title Sunday noon

Maryland has developed power house programs in lacrosse where they can win national championships for the men and womens teams.Rutgers is a couple notches below Maryland but is making steady progress to having top 10 programs.

Every single Maryland goal has come from a pass to a wide open person in front of goal. Tighten up that D and we’ll be alright but could be up more !

Womens faceoff is all about who has the better athletes. It’s a 50 50 ball every time almost.

Very different than the mens game where the faceoff guy has far more control.
 
Lou Holtz said the game is decided in the minutes before the half and after the half. Since 6 mins to go in the first half UMD 5-0
 
Cleveanger is absolutely killing us on that drag play. Both assisting and scoring.
 
This reminds me of the Mens bball game against OSU the season before last. We’re up by 16 points, the refs in OSU pocket all game despite that, finally reaches a tipping point (they foul out Myles Johnson) and OSU goes on to win the game and we can’t make a basket for the final 15 minutes. The tipping point was the whack on our player before halftime and the refs refusal to change their whistle. So our girls have quit, but I don’t blame them in the slightest. No point
 
When you are beating a team 7-5 and then proceed to allow 11 straight goals (as of now) that’s called the train disintegrating
 
Score now 17-7 .Maryland just keeps scoring while Rutgers defense is tired by losing all the faceoffs.Lacrosse is a unique sport where one aspect,ie, faceoffs has such a important factor in winning games.Its a recruiting challenge for teams that lack the skillset of winning faceoffs.
