No. 22 Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse Begins Big Ten Play Saturday with Penn State

RU collapse. PSU 8-7 final.
Huh...games not over

9-9 with about a minute to play. They sent both teams to their locker rooms as there are scoreboard issues they're trying to sort out

Girls coming back out now

You have the ball with 90 secs to go in regular time and Spillis doesn't touch the ball...no bueno
They were setting up a pass to her in the middle but she slipped and fell just as another player was about to pass it to her from behind the goal. That blew up the play.

Horrible loss. Absolutely horrible loss. You can’t lose to a 1-4 team - RIVAL - at home to start the conference season.

Right because they started the play with 30 seconds left which was a big mistake.

Which is why we lost the game and our best player didn't touch the ball on the last possession.

Not guaranteed to score there even if they started earlier, but to me it felt like they were playing not to lose in the last 90.

It's a Rutgers Athletics "trademark" at this point. We really, really, REALLY need an athletic department sports shrink. I'm 10000% convinced.

Teams in athletics programs like Penn St just know how to win. That is what separates blueblood athletic programs from all other schools. They just know how to win. And if they are down, they won't be down for long.

Yupl We have a serious mental issue as an athletic department, pretty much across the board, Every single time once of our teams gets a higher ranking, their programs highest ranking, etc. etc., has a chance to knock off a rival when they're down....BOOM....we **** it up. We need to learn how to play like we belong. Like we ARE the better team. The better program, etc., etc., etc....it's a problem. Been saying it for a few years now.

Win or losses are usually determined by talent and player development. Most Rutgers teams are lacking in both areas. The lack of financial resources or injuries usually are the refrain after a loss .Accountability is lacking and fan expectations quickly wane as the losses mount .
