No. 5 Rutgers vs No. 1 seed Ohio State. in Ann Arbor, contested at 12 p.m. on Thursday on Big Ten Network.

Hoping the almost two weeks off from OSU will have them rusty and we can jump on them quickly!

The announcer had two great comments at the end about Rutgers. One, that RU is a scary team to play and second, that RU is a young team and you don't know what you will see.

If RU beats OSU, would I be shocked, nope. Then again, neither would I be shocked if RU played poorly and lost to OSU. That's cheering for a young team. The first OSU game, at OSU, was close, 6-5 OSU at half and just 9-7 OSU at end of 3rd.

Just glad to have one more game.

If we manage to beat OSU but lose the championship game, that Stony Brook loss is going to come back and haunt us. Decent chance we squeak into the tourney at 9-8 with wins over Maryland, Michigan and OSU and a top 5 SOS. But that loss prevents us from finishing with a winning record which precludes us from an at-large bid.

It’s AQ or bust. Nothing would shock me with this team. It’s crazy that the team that lost to Stony Brook, St. Joe’s & UMass is the first Rutgers squad to beat Maryland since 1980. We could get smoked by OSU or go on to win the B1G and neither result would surprise me.

I've been trying to get up there to see a game. My son and I had a trip planned the season COVID shut it all down. Was thinking of going for Thurs, figured get a flight in the morning and my son could travel from his location and we meet up.

However, my son has labs that he can't miss on Thurs and did the old "you'd go with out me?" and that basically ended that trip.

Is it as small as it looks on TV? Thought it looked odd that they had so many stairs and it looked all split up.

It’s a very nice facility…but it’s small-ish

I’m not sure what it holds. They can add some temp seats on the opposite side of the field and I’m guessing they do for the BTT…but it’s not huge…but very nice

I’ve been to a lot of lacrosse venues and when it comes to primarily lacrosse facilities, I think Ridley(Loyola) is still the best…again just my opinion and I do have a slight bias…

Michigans reminds me of PSU

I have not been to the new OSU facility yet

ND, UNC, UVA are all really really good as well IMO

I will also note that the Rodkin is a fantastic building and facility that houses RU lacrosse…it’s as good as anything out there…it just doesn’t have a field to go along side of it…right now

My thoughts on the Michigan facility- it’s nice and aesthetically pleasing, but it’s too small for us.

Appeared to hold about two thousand and maybe a few hundred more on the sidelines. It’s good for them apparently but when the weather is nice and big games come up, we’d need more. Which means more than 1 bathroom and concessions are small.

Gotta give them credit though, they built it quickly.

The renderings I saw which the department approved had 6k capacity with the ability to add two k more so we can host quarterfinal games. I’d love to see the final four go back to college campuses, of which RU is perfectly suited for in every way.

Couldn't be more central!

Game has been moved to 12pm tomorrow due to weather.
We won’t be there now. Brennan has work commitments and so do I….we were looking forward to being in the building tomorrow evening and supporting the team. We had 8 people lined up for the 5pm start to support Rutgers. None of us can go.

Stadium is gonna be empty tomorrow. Essentially parents and that’s it. No casual fans here in Michigan will be able to go to a noon game on a Thursday

It will be a very quiet environment.

Using a prefabricated stadium design, you can put up a smallish stadium quickly. Buffalo is building a 7500 seat soccer stadium for around $10 million that looks nice. It'll be up in less than a year. I'd love to see Rutgers explore something like this to save money when building a smaller stadium for lax.

Must be predicting some bad weather, because I agree it’s very disruptive for everyone trying to attend. Multiple parents not able to make the game due to flight times into Detroit.

Yup. I feel bad for the parents. They’re the important ones to be there. I hope some could adjust and get on an earlier flight.

Beat OSU!

They are.

From NWS:

Today
Rain, with thunderstorms also possible after 11am. High near 73. East wind 10 to 14 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

I’m looking at my weather chanel app and frankly it doesn’t look that bad on the hourly.

From 1pm until 8/9pm looks very good and the largest % of rain is projected at 12 noon (now our start time…go figure) and at 8/9pm tonight…and no storms are projected…at least in the most current forecast…

Not sure I like this move at all…we will see. I’m on the ground here about 20 minutes north of AnnArbor…I’ll be very interested to see what the actual weather is like between 5-10pm this evening

Is what it is…I admit I’m salty because I wanted to go watch both games and this change makes it impossible for me do to some work commitments that I stacked up until 3pm…was looking forward to seeing some folks and watching RU win!

I hope the majority of the parents are able to get there…

Also, wonder if this is televised on BTN or moved to BTN+. They have other live programing at 12PM ET.

Bringing back nightmares of the weather delay from championship weekend and how that impacted the team.

Just saw the update on RU site, so that's good, no BTN+.

The game will be at a neutral site, with the University of Michigan hosting a 12 p.m. contest this Thursday. The game will be nationally televised on Big Ten Network, with Joe Beninati and Mark Dixon on the call.

1-0 OSU. Marinier. He's the one guy we can't let go off. We need to find him at all times. The guy is probably the best shooter in the entire league if not the country.

Ugh. Marinier again. 2-2. Do not give that guy any room. I am tell you he is too good to allow any space.
