No way Hack gets drafted.

Sucks that he chose psu. If he didn't, he'd probably be drafted higher since he'd have an offensive line and an offensive coordinator that can't be worse than whoever psu has. Really hope they sign that whole coaching staff to a 10 yr extension.

He did not have a great day and little protection. I don't think he is jelling with the now offense.

He'll be drafted. Kids got a lot of talent and he's a class act. The rest of his team just sucks.

Were you guys watching the OL today? Not sure where he will get drafted, and maybe he won't but this was about his OL and coaching that is horrendous.

Down 14 in the 4th he had time and an open WR running free behind the CB. Easy TD and a play PSU needed. He over threw the WR. NFL QBs make the throw with their eyes closed.

Can't remember what analyst said it after the game but said that Hackenberg didn't have a problem making any decisions or throws his freshmen hat under O'Brien. Has had trouble in the "Franklin" offense. O'Brien runs a pro offense Franklin not so much. He will be drafted. Kid has a cannon just going theough the same thing Savage did. Can't throw when your on your back and not comfortable with the new offense

Plenty of times where he has time to throw and still lays out a terrible decision. His arm strength and all that isn't in question, it's his decision making and ability to make throws under pressure - which are obviously huge factors when determining how good a qb is.

I think Hack is a good QB... I think the team he plays for, not so much. I wonder if Blacknall is having committer's remorse.

Saquon Barkley with 1 carry for 1 yard. Blacknall didn't even make the box score. Mangiro and Mahon, both Morris County guys who didn't give RU the time of day, looked like they belong at Montclair State instead of Penn State. All drank the Franklin Kool-Aid...

THANK YOU. jeez I've been saying this all last season. This is why I never understood the o-line excuse. On the occasions that he had time he would still blow plays consistently. If he hasn't improved it's only a matter of time before he gets completely exposed.

Hackenburg has been regressing since Obrien left. He made a huge mistake staying there.

EJ Manual got drafted in the first round. Hack should get out of Happy Valley as soon as possible.

He will be a solid pro. Can make all the throws. If they have a running qb, they might want to try him. Tom Brady wouldn't thrive in that offense.

Problem is, I bet some assurances were made to the kid for him not to transfer. Problem is, he is regressing to the point that it will take a long time to come out if it. Clearly his stock position is getting hurt by playing there.

If savage can go in the 4th round, Hack will certainly be drafted.

In the nfl draft measurables count a lot of QBs.

Sorry. I don't see it. He makes poor decisions and misses open receivers. Very few QBs make the pros and even fewer actually get playing time. He's not an NFL QB.

I'm guessing this is a joke post? Hackenburg may very well end up being the 1st pick in the draft, and your stating he won't even get selected? Lol

Hackenburg won't be #1. He's not the best draft prospect QB in the B1G East, Conor Cook and Cardale Jones are better.

That OL will certainly be a challenge for his mental makeup if he continues to get hit this often.

#1 pick? LOL. I hope the Eagles take him first overall. He can't read a college D and you think he is going to be able to read NFL Ds?? He has regressed significantly and defensive coordinators have figured out what to do against him.

It reminds me of rookie baseball players that make it to the majors and hit a few HRs in the first week. Everyone declares them stars until pitching coaches figure out what pitches they can't hit and they fizzle out.

He had a really bad day. He'll have some good ones before the season is over. He'll get drafted, but unlikely to be in the first half of the first round. Seems to me to be the kind of a guy who gels after 3-4 years in the NFL.

I don't see him being anything special but he sure does have the measurables and played well with guys around him as a Frosh. He will get drafted by a team like Atlanta or KC who can develop him as a backup behind the starter for a few seasons and then they'll see what they got.

It's clear that he has NFL talent. It's equally clear that he's playing behind a really bad o-line that's about as solid as 5 sticks of butter melting in the sun.

Their OL looks bad, but maybe Temple is also that good defensively.
Hack has no feel for the pocket and steps directly into the pass rush, he does his OL no favors.

Their best pass rusher was out that game, most of the guys that were getting sacks were not known to get sacks.

In case you were wondering...

Three points:
-Going into the season, he was projected as the first QB going in the draft.
- Savage went in the 3rd round even with all his tribulations
- Hack is as good as Savage was, if not better; hence this thread is stupid

I don't base my opinions on other peoples projections. If we are only going by projections, RU wouldn't have gone to or won a bowl game last year and they will only have 4 wins this year. Projections are not reality.

I am basing this on his level of play. He can't extend a play, misses open receivers and can't read defenses. Based on what I saw from him this week and last year he is not an NFL quality QB.

This season might knock him out of the Top 10 picks in the 1st round, but he'll still go in the 1st. Nobody would look good playing behind that OL.

Talk about overhyped. Just goes to show stars don't mean everything.

Kid should have decomitted from PSU when he had the chance. Playing there, especially under Franklin has hurt his development big time. He'll get drafted based on measureables but he'll never be a #1 QB. Also doubt he goes first round.
