No way Hack gets drafted.

I don't base my opinions on other peoples projections. If we are only going by projections, RU wouldn't have gone to or won a bowl game last year and they will only have 4 wins this year. Projections are not reality.

I am basing this on his level of play. He can't extend a play, misses open receivers and can't read defenses. Based on what I saw from him this week and last year he is not an NFL quality QB.
There are quarterbacks playing in the NFL now that can't do those things either.

Regardless of the ups & downs - he is PSU - QB 6' 4" 220lb & thus some NFL organization will believe that their infinite coaching talent will know the key to unlocking his talent & getting him to his full potential.

Well we know the BWI board is full of rationale posters. Biggest issue for Hack was losing O'Brien. He is not the type of QB Franklin won with at Vandy. I still think there is a very good chance he gets drafted in the first round. No later than the 2nd.

Hackenberg will have a long NFL career. He just needs coaching again. Funny how he did when he had that.

Hack playing so poorly is extremely important to rutgers in the long run. If pen state becomes known as a place that can't develop good quarterback talent, they will have a tough time attracting the top qb prospects. In the meantime. all of a sudden RUFB is cranking out two kids who look real good out there and even more in the pipeline.

pen state made a huge recruiting mistake by not locking up Anthony Russo. They jumped the gun and went for the high rated kid with the press coverage and didnt realize they had a better QB in state the whole time. Russo will eat Zembiec up when we play them and it will be a huge turning point for our program.

It's tragic that he doesn't even have an O-Line, let alone receivers. He's talented.

I'm guessing this is a joke post? Hackenburg may very well end up being the 1st pick in the draft, and your stating he won't even get selected? Lol

No he won't. And I'd challenge anyone still hanging onto the idea that he's a top 10 talent to defend it with their own analysis based on the player he is currently, not what some scouts said a season or two ago.

Revisionism and a narrative that suits PSU and Franklin-bashing. Hack was up and down his Freshman year, certainly didn't deliver on all the hype. Hack had a QBR under 60 as a frosh. Nova was better than that last year ffs. Someone like Gunner Kiel is considered a disappointment and he has played well above numbers like that.

I made my original post on this topic on Sept 5 and after last night's game I stand by my opinion. I was in the stadium for this game and RU had no pass rush and the PSU receivers were running free all night. Hack missed easy throws. NFL QBs make these throws and he just can't. I'm not sure what people see in this guy but his OL played fine last night and PSU has a roster full of 4 star receivers. He looks the part but doesn't play the part.

I just don't see him as an NFL QB. Some PSU fans that I talked to last night agree.

we have too many of our own problems to worry about.

who cares about hack and his nfl future?

He is not a great college QB right now, but he will get drafted and drafted high. He can make throws that very few people on this earth can.

Of course whether he will be successful or not is another question all together.

I think the person in this thread who critiqued Barkley should show himself...lol

The knitting forum is thatta way...

Saquon Barkley with 1 carry for 1 yard. Blacknall didn't even make the box score. Mangiro and Mahon, both Morris County guys who didn't give RU the time of day, looked like they belong at Montclair State instead of Penn State. All drank the Franklin Kool-Aid...

PSU ran for almost 300 yards and gave up no sacks. Either those two guys Magiro/Mahon are really Montclair State or your DL is "Pop Warner" since they pushed them all over the field!

My mistake, "330 yards rushing" with "Montclair State OL".......
