Did I just hear Grant Hill use the "no legs"/fatigue excuse for Northwestern?

I like Chris Collins' interview on the way into the halftime locker room when asked about the fatigue factor. He acknowledged the quick turnaround, but said they just have to dig deep and make it happen.

Switched out at half to watch Taco play against SMU. Boycotting the game because of the stupid looking court. Espnu at the palestra to watch ivy now

This is Northwestern's third straight game and they are no match for Wisconsin,38-21 half time.

well Michigan played 3 days and looked strong. All schools have to play consecutive nights some more than others. Some teams do not have an issue others do. I dont buy any tired excuse two nights in a row, its the third night where it might become an issue

I judge this kinda thing on a sliding scale. A lot of different factors go into the results you get. Some of them, off the top of my head:
  1. talent (skill, athleticism, IQ)
  2. coaching (team prep, decision making, leadership)
  3. physical state (conditioning/fatigue, adrenaline, health, body type/measurables)
  4. mental state (the psychological aspect) deer in headlights, or been there done that
  5. heart, motivation, etc
Weakness in a given area(s) can be compensated for by strength in other areas, but sometimes there are just too many holes to fill. I think we all know what NU is capable of, and they may come back in this game. But, do they have enough of the other factors to overcome #3 above?

We can't forget to factor in the opponent either. May be too much to ask against Wisky. We'll see.
