Nova vs ND, Pen St vs Pitt in New Jersey December 10

this will do pretty well, lots of fans for these schools in the region and the Nova fans will fill up the place. Sure it sucks as a RU fan to see this but the program has been in the abyss for 25 years and we have no fans so really we have no reason to complain

All parties involved are opportunists. There are parts of the country where the locals (politicians, sports facility people) would take major heat for supporting this type of recruiting showcase and other school alumni/fan outing. Like Durham, NC or Bloomington, IN or Columbus, OH or Lawrence, KS arenas. They do not give comfort to the enemy. If any team should be ticked it should be Seton Hall. Given the teams involved, these games should be played in Harrisburg or Altoona, PA.

I'm a fan of both RU & The Hall in hoops and don't mind this at all.

The Hall's AD simply has failed to book appetizing OOC home games aside from Wichita St last season.
Hall fans should not be bothered just like SJU fans are not ticked off when tourneys are scheduled at MSG.

Their best OOC home game scheduled next season is vs RU.

This tourney will draw extremely well.

Indeed, this will do well. It's the inaugural Never Forget Tribute Classic, an event that will partner with the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund, which helps support the education of children of the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks. In addition to the fans of the teams competing, a worthy cause such as this will entice sports fans with only a casual interest in college hoops to purchase tix. The Nova-ND game will be the lead-in on CBS to the Army-Navy football game. The Pitt-PSU game will air on the CBS Sports Network.

if anything SHU fans should be mad.

Theru center is their home court. Although Nova won the championship you have Nova, ND, and Pitt who are former Big East rivals taking over your building.

Interesting and glad to see the Rock now host College BB doubleheaders a la MSG and Barclays.

Also good to see old BE Matchup: Nova vs Irish and another old BE foe - Pitt.

I wonder if the curtain will finally be taken down for a much larger crowd. Many SHU fans are upset about these teams playing at the PRU Center but they must realize they do not own the arena they only rent it. I think this is good for the area. For many years there were good doubleheaders at MSG as well as the Meadowlands. We use to participate in many games at MSG and had many outstanding games at the Meadowlands too. I remember wins over Notre Dame and UCLA at the Meadowlands. We also gave Duke a pretty good game there a long time ago.

IMO, the curtain will be lifted.

At least for the mezzanine sections (108-115 & 125-134) and maybe the balconies (116-124 & 101-107).
