Now Guess The Opening Line For The RU-NM Game

Had NM one I think it would have been pick'em or NM a slight favorite. Losing as an 11 pt favorite did not help their cause. Rutgers hasn't covered yet . Something tells me the books are going to favor RU more than they deserve; I'll say RU -5.
Bold move, considering the bookies want even money on both sides. If they open with that line, a lot of early money will go on NW and push the line downward.
If you're right about the opening line, what's the closing line?
I should note that I am a terrible better. I mocked Scott Van Pelt's prediction that Western Kentucky would beat the 28.5 spread versus Alabama. (Final score 38-10.)
In the end, New Mexico just lost to New Mexico State. I suspect the line ends up around -7.5. But again, I suggest people bet the opposite of what I think.
Rutgers +4, what is the over under on passing attempts- this might look like and Army/Navy game.
RU by 8.5....too much running game for Lobos to handle on road, only question are coaches going to give New Mexico a heavy dose of Martin and Hicks early and often and sprinkle in some Gio to give their coaches some uncertainty.
RU cannot continue these slow starts, think we rebound nicely with double digit win. Saw some things that New Mexico State took advantage of against New Mexico in last nights game that RU should easily take advantage of as well.

Rutgers was demolished by middle of the pack Washington, and Howard HOWARD! led us 14-0 at the half. Who would favor Rutgers in any game?

Washington has a week running game and they have not played very good teams thus far. Lets see how Washington does in their first test, that would be against Stanford.
I am not saying Rutgers will lose to New Mexico, I am just saying how the college football world perceives RU and how they will bet.
I don't know how anybody, after the first two games, is confident about making any kind of prediction at this point. I predict that I really want us to win the game. And I predict that by halftime on Saturday, I'll have enough information to make a half-informed guess at the final score.

It was 14-14 at the half. We out scored them 38-0 in the second. Washington is a top 10 team.
Other that that your post was amazingly accurate.
Is it possible that we had an early moment of clarity on Saturday? I don't see us beating the big boys but I think we may have been shocked into turning the light on to not be embarrassed every week.We still need a QB and I believe we may settle that this week. There is talent here that needs to mature on the field and on the sidelites. Yes I am captain frigging obvious but I am not ready to pack it in yet.
