they are playing well today and Iowa is just having one of those nights where they are not in sync
Too many are assuming that RU is just going to waltz into Northwestern's gym and win, It will not be easy.

Anybody who thinks ANYTHING will come easy in Rutgers sports — especially winning on the road in hoops — is just crazy.
We’re 2-40 on the road in the Big Ten, and both wins are against PSU. It’s difficult enough, but now the guys have to get back up after an emotional loss against Illinois.

good lord...Michigan would beat RU 19 out of 20 times..it wasnt one of those nights...so ridiculous

A team that is shooting lights out can be having one of those nights just like a team that can’t hit anything can be having one of those night.
The chances of us beating Michigan at our place is small, but when they shoot they way they did, the chances go to almost nil.
and they shoot like that alot....its part of who they are, they can go through stretches when they are brilliant...thats why they are a national title contender. RU played poor defense and really bad offense in that stretch.
I hope Pike studies the game tape for next Saturday's Iowa matchup

78-77......10.2...they missed their last one and one....still Iowa will have chance to tie even if Law makes both
closing out the game is a game within the game. You can say Iowa just came to play like this to start they would have won easily..just doesnt work like that
Would like Iowa to win this. Heartbreaker loss for NW can't hurt us Weds and also helps in league standings.

I will say that Iowa really didnt defend that play all to well...right to Pardon and that was a decent look..wtf
Bohanon didnt score I think until like 5 minutes left..he ended with 15 points to close the game out including 3-4 from 3

the problem is they are a very good defensive team and while we played well against Illinois..those are two different kind of defenses...I will agree that we do need to be aggressive rather than passive but this defense will give us problems like they did the first time.
Iowa wins. Bohannon with 13 points in about the last minute and a half. This must be deflating for Northwestern. We need to be ready on Wednesday.
kiss of death....I think this outcome bodes well for RU for both games...we get a deflated Northwestern and a cocky maybe overconfident Iowa coming into the RAC

The way to score on good defensive teams is to push the pace and not let them get you into half court sets where they can set up their D. Thats my opinion on it. Were good defensively too and teams do best against us when the run
you are assuming we finish, which we do not alot....if we try this and dont finish we easily can be burned in transition.
as good as RU was offensively vs Illinois, I would slow the roll on that being the norm the rest of the year.
