I crack up when I see a post started with the word official, I ask what makes a thread official? What makes The Look a Like Thread official why not simply call it the Look a Like thread? What the difference between the Prediction thread and the Official prediction thread not a damn thing. There is nothing official about any of these it just seems senseless. So Saturday I'm going to start Today's Game Day Thread nothing Official about it just a game day thread.

Ahhhh...the old "official thread" thread!

Honest answer: some posters have done the same threads, game-after-game, week-after-week, for years. Every now-and-then a new guy would jump in and try to beat that person to the punch, so-to-speak, and then began the "official thread" stuff. That's my take from all these years.

Agree with NUTS. For example the only official "Just Do It!" post, has to come from MAROSY. There can be only one.
