Basketball Ogbole Out for Remainder of Season

No question it has been a nightmare relative to expectations. But it's still fun to watch Ace and Dylan perform. I started paying attention in 1983. They are doing stuff I've never seen a player in a Rutgers uniform do. I'm going to enjoy watching them play the rest of the season, even if I'm consistently disappointed in the final score. Given how much you care, you may as well make the best of it as well.
I didn't sign on for this season to watch an exhibition of 2 one and dones and little success for the team as a whole.

Pike is a national embarrassment and should resign. Any lard ass could have coached Rutgers to where they are today. He will likely cite O's season ending injury as reason we don’t win, but we all know that's not the case. He embarrassed the program with two Top 5 NBA picks. Maybe even a #1 pick. Inexusable. Not survivable. He needs to go.

Martini has the least rebounds per minute in the entire ncaa for anybody 6'8" and up
While your general point is a good one, Martini is nowhere near 6'8" I do not care what RU lists him at. Princeton, last year, listed him at 6'7" And I do not think he is even that - closer to 6'6" seems more like it. I am not sure he is as tall as Harper, or even Derkack.

NJ Hawk will be happy.

Here comes Dortch.
No one wants a rotation player or the true rebounding center lost for the season. The staff however has to mix up the lineup and find a way to rebound the ball and that means someone has to play. If it's more Lathan and Grant/Martini/Dortch, so be it.

Rebounding and defense is a mindset of all 5 players on the floor, I'm confident in the freshman and hope Martini steps up, boxes out and competes as well.

Grant should not be put in a position where he is forced to play the 5

Michigan Maryland types are going to be a problem. We have no size

Lathan tends to either play no defense at all or get too aggressive and foul

The hits keep coming. At least Harper seems healthy. Going to be an even tougher road now. Who knows, maybe Sommerville and Martini step up more and we see Dortch play some. Best of luck to EO - he definitely has improved over last year, especially in his rebounding.

How do you say Harper is healthy he hasn’t played a game in the last 7 games where he has been close to healthy and he is a game time decision tomorrow and sprained ankles tend to linger just look at Ace he’s been dealing with it all year

I don’t find anything enjoyable about watching this team.

Absolutely. Bet he plays 5 minutes, can't go, and sits rest of game.

EO was the top rebounder per minute on the team. Could have help D for Lathan and Martini in the paint forcing teams into shooting threes (which will be open) which will lead to longer rebounds and have the guards and forwards committed to tracking down those long bounces might offset the loss of the EO’s big body rebounding-wise. Offensive efficiency and ball handling is going to have to be elite to be competitive the rest of the way.
Fortunately Illinois is not a road game. They rebound very well as a team, have an 7’1” Euro-center and shoot threes as a team at a high percentage. Ace will have to get 50 on like 25 shots.😬

The problem is that Lathan and Martini don’t rebound. Ogbole was becoming a good rebounder.

Kareem Wright and Brent Dabbs too. All former players still alive and most of the deceased are better than one in your list.

Oh yes the last game where Harper and Bailey will be showcased. Now is the time when we'll probably see less playing time from the both of them to prevent further injury
