It's funny. If we want to compete in this league winning or losing recruiting battles against Boston College isn't good enough.24 OL target appears to have decommitted from Rutgers and committed to BC after visit there. Bummer.

Ya, I can't get that into either. I'll follow a little, but a pool full of 3 star kids a year+ out? Only so much attention I can give to such matters. This is why I don’t care about recruiting anymore. I wish they would not allow early verbals. Kids just use offers to get the one they want.
So much for the monster class of 3 stars.
Just stop the over reaction. It's funny. If we want to compete in this league winning or losing recruiting battles against Boston College isn't good enough.
Panic and runThis is why I don’t care about recruiting anymore. I wish they would not allow early verbals. Kids just use offers to get the one they want.

A real head scratcher, the league ACC in disarray, the team battling Syracuse for most irrelevant team in a league who's best teams desperately want to be elsewhere. The BC performance, their current recruiting not much good going on there, As said above, Hafley on the hot seat. Love to hear the background story on this one,
Didn't he want to play DL so Rutgers offered him as a DL? Ritchie noted he thought Pruitt was more of an OL. Wonder if kid came to that realization and decided BC would be best to get to next level. Despite Rutgers now having the coaches to get him there, our track record is not yet proven. Not so much recently in terms of the NFL, plus RU abused their offensive line in the game last year, RU had him slotted for the Dline, now he's an O lineman at BC. First lineman to commit to BC this year
Pruitt told TOS he liked how Boston College sent offensive lineman to the NFL with regularity and the academic prowess of the school impressed he and his family..Rutgers is huge and BC is a small school. They’ve also sold him on the number of offensive linemen that they’ve put into the NFL via the draft. (They do have a solid record here)

when 4 stars decommit, I worry, 3 star players are more easily replaced.my lord, it’s just one kid in a top 25 class
Some of you are serious drama queens
What I love about this year's class is that if they all sign, there is a strong possibility that the majority of the class will be from outside of NJ. I think many of us are getting tired about waiting for the NJ HS to Rutgers pipeline to be like some other parts of the country. Time is now here to expand the State of Rutgers.Just another example of Rutgers being unable to compete until the "field house" is built? Right?
Even Boston College is more desirable than Rutgers.
- Big Ten
- New Jersey player
- 22-21 win last year
- HC Schiano v. HC Hafley
All that is worthless since BC has a Field House and Rutgers doesn’t.
6 more. This probably means Schiano gets 3 free years now instead of 2.
Guess Rutgers no longer feels like home and his relationship with Greg Schiano is not as strong as it used to be?Pruitt told TOS he liked how Boston College sent offensive lineman to the NFL with regularity and the academic prowess of the school impressed he and his family..
Looks like BC sold him on a pro future
When he committed to RU he said this to TKR
>"Rutgers honestly feels like home," Pruitt told TKR. "I love the intensity that the team bring, the business school is great and I have built a strong relationship with coach (Greg) Schiano and the rest of the Rutgers staff."ALSO:
"My main recruiter there was Coach Matt (Walp)," said Pruitt. "I developed a big relationship with him throughout the recruiting process and he called all the time making sure my family is doing good and also just talked to me about football and life in general."
What kids say when making verbals can't be taken as gospel, just as what they feel at the time, subject to change
The current BC staff has one NFL draft pick on the OL, correct? Granted, that's one more than Greg 2.0 has, but 1.0 had a few draft picks during their time.
Something seems off with those comments and/or maybe the sold him a false bill of goods on the OL to NFL pitch. And it was a 1st rd pick. And if you go back to Greg 1.0 BC regularly had OL getting picked, sometimes more than 1 in a year.
not only do they have a field house they fill their recruits full of beansDoes BC have a fieldhouse? If they do, that explains his decision.
What 4 stars ?when 4 stars decommit, I worry, 3 star players are more easily replaced.
Exactly. Isn’t the line the kid was a bum, we soured on him first, not a Rutgers man, this recruiting class is loaded, never would have seen the field. I think that is most of them.when 4 stars decommit, I worry, 3 star players are more easily replaced.
