Oline and Dline

GS has no killer instinct.
He gets a lead and wants to play safe - "poof."
He really is on a spectrum of some kind strategically
Did you watch the game???? We threw more passes then KSU did the defense lost the game by giving up 540 yards, scoring 41 points should have been plenty to win if the defense got off the bus

The defense has to not all follow one receiver and let a receiver get wide open. They get eaten up by a passing team.

The defense is what I'm talking about.
Just like beginning of season, RU was playing deep and leaving a lot of open space
KSU players were running wild all alone (looked like Washington game).
RU had a good lead and some coaches start to play safe - "prevent defenses" and all that.

Greg should have had defense in their facemasks but RU went slack while KSU made very aggressive adjustments.
RU tackling was all arms and lots of tackles missed.
I assume team was playing in shorts the past two weeks - going for runners legs seemed alien to RU tacklers.
Remember that Greg's whole "thing" is to get a few points and play safe

wonder how much of the Illinois game had Greg thinking prevent. He brought the house then and we got burned. Overall the Defense grade for the season was a C-. They just got abused too easily except for Mich St, Va Tech, and pushover games.

How the hell do you “play it safe “ on defense unless you are playing prevent?….Which we did not

Your post literally makes no sense

You have secondary playing soft.
KSU runners were all alone once they got beyond LOS.
Then there was a wait for defenders to come up to meet runner - which they did too often with "hug-me-hunny" arm tackles

Actually I do - around here its not too hard to get so far ahead you look behind when you lap the muggles.
You must have had a front row seat on the short bus when you were a kid, since none of your posts make any sense, you seem to make up bulls**t to try to sound like you know what you are talking about, but it is very obvious you are clueless!!!

both got mauled in second half. KSu brought the kitchen sink on every pass play, we had no answer.
The coaching staff's job is to provide those answers. By countering those blitzes. Yet they kept acting like they were caught off guard. Even as there was no disguise The KS defenders were right up at the LOS scrimmage every time. Just a piss poor job of adjusting to what they obviously schemed up at halftime.

The Dline got manhandled throughout the game! We need bigger guys especially on the interior. You could drive a truck through some of those running lanes. Hopefully can pick up another 1-2 in the portal

Einstein's relativity makes no sense to busboys.
Truth is it doesn't take much to see the problems.
Same weakness and exploits over and over last night.
KSU adjusted to run smash mouth and RU looked like they were ready to get on the bus
KSU looked like Washington game were a guy gets around corner has has nothing but empty acreage in front of him

And if you had any clue what you are looking at….you’d realize that DJ made the wrong read

Powell keyed on the QB…DJ was supposed to trail Edwards but instead also broke inside and also bit on the QB which is why Edwards was wide open

Nothing wrong with scheme…player error

Get a clue

Interesting thing I noticed. Every time I heard the announcers say it is great tge Refs are letting the kids play football and not calling DPI was when we had the ball. There was only the one play late in the game were they gave us a break. At least 3-4 DPI’s they let slide on KST…

He definitely plays not to lose as opposed to playing to win
He came close in several season games but hung on. This time not vs a good offense. Yes the D fell apart but ..
How about not starting 2nd half drives with runs. Too predictable

Didn’t realize that GS also calls the plays on offense

Who knew….

Passing was poor last night 14/32 does show a lot of passing but little of it good,
Miller is this years player to burn in effigy and he was getting a lot of blame from the muggles last night but he was overthrown and underthrown like WRs last year

"Predictable" is like a goal with RU offense

Greg hires people that see things the same way.
Greg, Fleck, KC - all on the same mini bus
You’re making a horses ass out of yourself

What’s your address?
I’ll send you a $1 to buy a clue

He needs much more the a buck to get a clue, lots of videos that he does not know who is responsible for whom on any given play, we need to give up on him as he is beyond clueless of football

Its not brilliance to see RU's interior game sucks.
Its also not brilliance to see that (once again) RU's secondary played soft and was late to make stops.
KSU "rushing" should be called "frolicking" since they were like deer bouncing in open fields.
The frolicking averages were embarrassing.

Dylan Edwards got almost 200 yds on 18 frolicks - 10.9 avg
Avery Johnson got 57 yds on 11 frolicks - 5.2 avg
Joe Jackson got 50 yds on 7 frolicks - 7.1 avg
Jayce Brown got 42yds on 3 frolicks - 14.0 avg

FOUR guys total 347 yds on only 42 frolicks for 8.3 avg.
They didn't even need trainers after the game - no bruises or tweaks

These guys were running through a sieve and a couple blown tackles don't explain it.
Washington game had the same issue with Jonah Coleman getting 150 yds on 9.3 yds a frolick
RU defenders cant tackle well in open space and RU scheme allowed a lot of open space

Worst RU bowl game I ever saw - 2/3 of team was flat and bad - coaches mailed it in
Greg blamed "the universe" - they prepared but "life happened" anyway (damn those headsets!)
RU's defenses used to be aggro but now they sit back in cushions and wait to be bowled over
