One site's seeding for the tourney

Always important to note if rankings are “if the season ended today” or “where we predict once the season ends” … if the season ended today we are a 6 or 7 yes. If we win the Big Ten I think we are a 3 or 4

Saw this one on the Minny site, which confirms Minny's hate against Rutgers. This person has posted updates each week, and Rutgers has always been in the "last 4 in," regardless of the situation.

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN – Our final Field of 68 projection of 2022 before we head into the “meat and potatoes” of the college basketball season. … conference play. An * denotes the automatic qualifier (conference leader and/or best NET ranking) in a multiple-bid conference. Current NET ranking is noted in parentheses.

Week 7 Team of the Week: #330 Eastern Illinois -- The Panthers (2-9 vs. D1 opponents) went into Carver-Hawkeye Arena and stunned Iowa, 92-83. for starters any NCAA analysis at this point in pointless because there are 18 conference games left to play for most schools

however based on that analysis of q1 and 2 wins, yes Rutgers should be one of the last teams in given their lack of wins compared to other schools and having a quad 4 loss

this scanairo is my hope

Get out of the 7,8,9. And 10 lines …because we can , as a 5 or 6 seed, beat a 4 or 5 seed and get to the sweet 16

Plus …if you get to the 5 or 6 line , and win your game , you get a 20-30-% chance that you end up with a 13 or 14 seed instead of the 3 or 4.

Far fewer upsets come to the 1 and 2 seeds

I’m gojng to enjoy the journey…and there is a long way to go, but there is nothing wrong , as a fan, for having the bigger prize in mind as you take steps in the process

Bac, that's the Rutgers Screw coming out of you. 😁

99% of the teams on the list have only one Quad 1 win, like Rutgers, so for you to say that Rutgers should be one of the last teams in the tourney isn't correct or truthful. Once we get into mid-January, many of these teams will separate from the pack, and I expect Rutgers to be one of them.

The team rankings one is a prediction, not if season ends today.

Torvik also has us as a 6 seed predicted, but 4th team out if season ended today

Our power ratings are good, so these predictions are expecting us to build a resume over the next 2.5 months

That doesn't make sense. Most teams in the "first 4 out" are borderline tourney teams. Not high-seeded teams. I admit I'm clueless about how basketball tourney teams are decided.

First four out if season ended today, 6 seed predicted at end of season. Not both a 6 seed and 1st four out at the same time

We don’t have an NCAA resume as of today.

One home win over a projected field team and 2 losses to teams not projected to be in the field. If the tournament started today that would not be an At Large resume.

A lot of at-large teams currently “projected” to be in the field don’t have traditional NCAA resumes.

Its borderline but its waaaaaaay to early. My first one probably drops around Feb 1 and even that one may be done in groupings of teams rather than a traditional bracket
