OT: 10 NCAA Basketball coaches charged with fraud

Fraud? You don't say..with all this money changing hands, it becomes easy to see why I have to pay $100+ for running sneakers and others are paying $200+ for basketball kicks. The funding for these payoffs has to come from somewhere!!!

In a statement released Tuesday morning, adidas said: ““Today, we became aware that federal investigators arrested an adidas employee. We are learning more about the situation. We’re unaware of any misconduct and will fully cooperate with authorities to understand more.”

Sounds like it's just a bad apple or two at Adidas. [winking]

Louisville had no choice in giving that player $100k after they were forced to close their player's brothel. They are the victim here.
...players' brothel....
If there is only one player who gets to go to the brothel regularly, then it would be player's brothel, but if multiple players go to the brothel, or if it is considered a general brothel that all players might go to, then it should be players' brothel. Given that this is Louisville, it is conceivable that each player gets his own brothel, and, if this is referring to that specific player, then again it would be player's brothel.

Rick did not know players were being recruited with escorts. Rick did not know players were being recruited with cash. Somewhere JoePa is smiling and saying that's winning with honor.
Oh, no! You just had to do it, didn't you? Now we must face the wrath of the Faithful!

I'll try... "Is it coincidence that Rutgers just happened to change from Nike to Adidas?"

The poor girls in the brothel are the real victims here. What are they supposed to do now? Total discrimination against working women.

Lol you guys would totally fail at writing headlines for NJ.com.
Rutgers linked to massive FBI fraud, NCAA cheating scandal.

The article will rehash everything out so far and they will squeeze in references to RU just signing with Adidas...

now it makes sense. I had heard Pitino wouldn't bang that waitress until she took off the "swosh" panties and put on the ones with the 3 stripes.

Anyone else hold their breath while reading this article hoping not to see Rutgers named?

Power 5 schools need bribes to attract 5 star talent? Rick Pitino doesn't attract talented players with the force of his nail-the-waitress-on-the-restaurant-table charisma? Color me surprised.

Trap is going to be very offended that you dare to bring Joe up in this disgusting scandal and try to tarnish his name...shame on you

All sound and fury signifying nothing! Some will fall on their swords and then it will all go back to business as usual.

If bribes that are accepted are not being reported on tax returns, then that's Income Tax Evasion, no?

Without being a lawyer, that's the obvious law being broken. Maybe conspiracy as well ?
