As far as him repeating 8th Grade, he was a Top 10 student in the Wall Intermediate Eighth Grade Class in the class of 2014. The question is does his brother Matt, a Wall HS sophomore, follow him to BC.

We really have people who follow what 8th graders do? Someone needs a life.

Abro,
Wall had 3 kids at AC this year and bring back an outstanding team next year. One of the 3 at AC was Matt McKenzie, Josh's Sopomore brother. Matt placed 6th at 192 and is a physical beast as a sophomore. Matt is also an outstanding Def. Lineman.
My son turns 19 two months after he graduates HS. Luckily he is a July baby. Huge advantage sports wise. He's in the 6th grade. 5' 11" 190 lbs, size 15 feet. Plays baseball.Originally posted by newell138:
If he is 15 now, he will not be able to compete in anything his senior year since he will be 19 his senior year. That was the reason Sanu didn't play his senior year in football or track.
Just to clarify, local BOE's are responsible for transporting students to other schools, including parochials up to a mileage limit. I don't remember the exact limit, but it was somewhere around 20 miles. If they attend a school further than that, then the schools are not responsible. Somehow, I think BC will figure out a way to get this kid to and from school, or provide a place to live nearby.Originally posted by RUtix4me:
I mnow there was an article a few year's back on Bosco detailing how they had a Van that went to the coty to pick the NY kids up. I forget the details, but it was a service provided at no cost, it may have been an volunteer driving. The whole private school set-up is out of whack. Also local public districts are obliged to provide the cost of bus service for these kids, which is shocking. All of those schools advise the kids to check their local districts. I know our school board meeting is littered with bus fee approvals for kids to go to privates and Bergen Academies.
By the way saw the headline, didn't click.

I think Carroo stayed with someone when he was at DBP.Originally posted by NorthNJRUFan:
Why is it assumed he will be driving back and forth everyday and not just put up somewhere?
Publics (north Bergen football) have done it and (rightfully) get stripped of titles. Non-publics do it and it's lauded as a nice opportunity.

Abro,
Football is coming back at Wall, outstanding sophomore class.
I believe Josh's uncle is looking farther down the road for his Professional future, which Wrestling doesn't provide. Maybe he'll be the next Caldwell and do both.
Why hopefully?Originally posted by Divine Providence:

srru86,
Hopefully Josh's uncle will allow Matt McKenzie, Josh's soph brother, to stay at Wall. Matt is a potential All Shore Football player and State Wrestling Champion.
Good to know, thanks.Originally posted by Divine Providence:
