The Brooklyn born outfielder with the Dodgers and the Padres was known for many things:Playing the piano at Carneige Hall at 16,as a bit actor in Gilligan's Island,Batman,and a few other shows. Last but not least, for not disturbing the ground around the bases during his last two at bats at Shea Stadium on the first Earth Day in 1970 by becoming the 1st and 10th consecutive batter struck out to end the game vs Tom Seaver who fanned 19 in all.
